Dhanya @bold...this is probably a moot point when talking about HD because they make up things as they go but you raise an interesting point. How much of our personality is genetics and how much is our environment- the age old nature vs. nurture. But I think some of it atleast has to be genetic- otherwise why would Munna and Indira become such different people even though they had been exposed to such similar circumstances? I know we are led to believe that Indira turned into HItler due to her circumstances but I think a lot of her Hitler traits are intrinsic to her and they were just solidified due to the circumstances she faced.Regarding her decision to accept being a 2nd wife is interesting. Our moral code is mostly shaped by the society we live in...If she was made to believe that 2nd marriages are a accepted norm of her culture, then she may not have had a problem with it. The only thing that bothers me is that she must have known that Noor was not happy with this 2nd marriage of her husband. And this is where I think people have a problem. Why would she continue to sustain this relationship when she knew that it was causing distress to Kabir's 1st wife? To not become the cause for another's distress/mistreatment is something that was the hallmark of her personality- wasn't it?
I know I'm digressing, but I kept thinking back to that scene in the barsaati when Husna and Kabir had just found each other. Kabir asks her why she is able to think of Babli as her own, but not accept him. At that time, she had just asked him not to ask her these complicated questions. So, really, it comes back to the same question that most of you have asked: how much does she know?
@bold: About this specific point, given her reaction, opinion, and stance on inder Sharma's second marriage, this should be easy to answer. But as Husna, she has me confused.
