He got full love of Mother. Even though he was never serious about job , work, his family supported him.

They send him to US , where he enjoyed lavishly for years on his family wealth (inspite of not contributing anything).

He sent his own brother in jail , even then when he required money his mother helped him.

He got a loving wife Indira. Who loved him so much thought about him also at the verge of her own death.

She came to know his best friend Shweta loves him from childhood. So she decided to marry him in front of her eyes , so that he may be able to live after she is no more.

Then he got another wife , his previous best friend. He got also one daughter. He could have the perfect family , with a loving & responsible wife , kids & everything which any person dreams.

But what he was after , a face just a face of Indira , and for that he ruined his life.

Very , very few people get so many things & opportunities in life. Even then if he is not happy , then only he is to be blamed.

Only he is the architect of his misery.

Yes , Zara is surely the architect of her misery.

About Indira , I will say only partially she was responsible for her misery. Yes , she got many chances to go away from SF & SN and lead a happy life with Rishi. But Overall , I don't think she had much choice in life after getting a pathetic father like Indur.

So she decided to live for her mother , brother , Sister & mainly nephew Ishaan , whom she just cannot leave & go.

About Shweta , I don't think she is responsible for her misery. She married her best friend ( from childhood) , when his wife was going to die, and he had nobody in world to look after him ( he already no relations with Diwan). Any normal person will accept , that with time Rishi will move on in life , may be after few months , few years. Nobody could have anticipated that he will treat his best friend like trash for so many years , and then will run behind face look alike of his first wife.

So Shweta perfectly did what any normal person , friend & lover would have done (at her place). It was total abnormal , shocking & unexpected behavior of Rishi , that was the reason of Shweta's misery.
