Whoever loves Indu unconditionally would love today's episode. It was her and her screechy voice all the way.
It was also a game of badminton with either Rishi or Zara taking turns at being the shuttlecock.
"Sirf chehra ek jaisa ho sakta hai," she said. "Lekin meri Mummy jaisa dil sirf unhi ka ho sakta hai!!" (Note: Inder approved of this one...he looked pleased. My question: Until this moment, she did not doubt her. The first clue that she had was Zara's unburnt hand. Even then, she did not question her...she merely asked her how it healed so fast).
Tick. Shuttlecock Zara tossed over the net.
On the other side of the net, Rishi catches the shuttle and attempts a rescue. Says that she had to don the garb for Indu's sake. Because Indu was so critical (must say Indu recovered in a matter of minutes. Ab isse bhagwan ka chamatkar kahe ya maa ka pyar? And also must say, it was nice to see Rishi come back.)
Indu invades Rishi's side of the court. Seizes shuttlecock and tosses it over the net again with a very relevant question "Mujhe bevakoof samajh rakha hai?" (I could not help giggling at this one 😆). "Aisi kya situation thi? Mujhe bhi jaanna hai!"
The rest of it is some high-pitched drama at the end of which Zara is tired of being tossed around. Resolves to tell Indu the truth. But Rishi, who is concerned for Indu's health, pleads with her not to. Lahorewali seems to understand every bit of the goings on. Chips with relevant expressions and a slap when Zara says that she cannot share Rishi. (Rishi must have felt like the attractive cake that everyone wanted to cut up a couple of epis ago). That was it for Zara who has been slapped once too much. She declares that she and Rishi are married and that she is staying in Sharma Nivas because she has a right to.
The moment Zara lets out the truth, Rishi becomes the shuttlecock. His misery and his helplessness are both obvious. But they are of his own invitation. To put an end to indu's screeching, he says that he has not married her. Tries to convey to her through his eyes that he is helpless and she should understand. But she does not. Fair enough. From her perspective, this denial, for whatever reason, is a breach of promise.
Indu is absolutely certain that her Rishi Kumar cannot marry without her permission. She also understands the law as Rishi explains it to her and decides that she will be the first daughter in this world to get her parents married. Had she gone to school instead of making a nuisance of herself around the house, she would have known that others have tread this path before her.
Anyway, tomorrow, she throws Zara out of the house even as Rishi attempts to chase her to stop her. But his brawn is no match for Indu's strength. Lets see what tomorrow holds for us.
PS: Walden had a post on nonviolence and slaps in HD, which was prompted by Rishi's slap yesterday. Walden, today, HD had one slap (LW to Zara) and one attempted slap (Savita to LW). The one Zara received should, technically, be excused because LW is mentally five years old. But Savita attempted violence on someone who is not normal. Clearly, HD's message to the world is that if something or someone irritates you, just slap. The irritation will go away.
