Simran, very nice post. 100% agree with you. Yesterday, i wrote in one post, nobody will try to understand Rishi's POV. He loved, loves only his Shrimatiji in this life. Swetha knows this from the day one. But still expects the the love from Rishi.

Rishi worked as lawyer from the day one, they showed after the leap. But the house hold matters are looked by women of the house. So he must be giving money to Swetha for house hold expenses, fees... But normally in indian homes, majority of the house hold related matters are taken care by woman, like wife, mother...

About Indu, if Swetha would have allowed Rishi or Sharma family members to know about her real mom then Indu would not blame her dad. One more thing, even after knowing that Rishi will never love her(Swetha) in this janam, and always have cry and have sad face... What will child think about when she sees Swetha llike that, Child will think that her dad is not loving his mom. If Swetha had a bit of her self respect, then she would have not expected any thing from him and would have remained as friends and slowly Rishi might/not changed.
Due to her insecurity, swetha is ruining Indu's as well as Rishi's life. Due to Swetha, not disclosing one secret of hher mom, she is creating a huge hatred gap betwen Rishi and Indu.

Yes , we don't know what happened in last 8 years. But there are ample proofs & Evidences given that Shweta is running the house.

Yes Rishi is earning as lawyer. But at best his salary is negligible atleast to make for running of house.

Now talking about Evidences. We can take atleast three incidences where it is amply clear that Shweta is running household almost single-handedly.

1. In the introduction after leap , Ishaan itself said that "Aaj bhi yeh ghar ek Aurat ki kamaii pe hi chalta hai" . This is not a small statement. By saying this , Ishaan compared Shweta to Indira directly. Had there been the case the Rishi & Shweta would have been running house together or atleast any significant contribution by Rishi. Ishaan would have never compared Shweta with Indira. This is the biggest testimony.
2. Then During Indira's Shraad , Shweta said to Munna in front of everybody including Rishi " Aap ki Beti Seher ki fees main hi bharti hun" Now do you think Munna would have remained quite , if that not would have been the case. Had Rishi been contributing , or even capable of doing that. Do you think whole SF including Rishi & Munna would have heard it and stayed quite? It is impossible.
3. Thirdly , When Rishi got injured and nowhere traceable , Kutumb said to Shweta " Saara Ghar to tuhi Chalati hai," , jo tumhe theek lage wohi karo."

Even about Expenses of Ishaan , it is taken care by Shweta like Laptop & Mobile.

Yes in a family of 7 people , with only one substantial income of Shweta , there is bound to be some problem and curiosity of money. Remember how Indira used to be tensed running family and budgeting every item. Now the Expenses are even more with three children studying.

At the moment , I can only think of these instances.Others can think of more.

Yes Rishi is also earning , but his income is negligible or at best peripheral. He can contribute to miscellaneous expenses here & there , but for Major Expenses , it is Shweta who runs the show.

Ashish, Majority of the Indian house hold matters are taken care by the woman of the house. either mother, wife or elder sister... Men will earn the money and give the money to there respective lady of the house. Here also Rishi would give his earnings to Swetha. This is common in Indian house hold. That is to be understood.No body in the TV show will show these matter in detail as they believe , the people who have common sense will under stand the common thing that majority of the house hold will follow.

Well,as a husband to Shweta,Rishi might have failed her;as a father too he seems to have failed,but as a person,Rishi has raised himself above all.Because in these 8 years,as a human being,as a man,Rishi could have urged his physical needs with Shweta,which would have made her happy and fulfilled.Shweta complains of being used by Rishi,but in the real sense of the term,if Rishi wanted to use her,he could have easily used her for his personal needs,ending her being pregnant and leaving her now when Zara has come in their lives,who has brought the dead back.This would have been a punishment to Shweta in the real sense,making her life more complicated. But keeping aside one's materialistic needs and still maintaining a relationship like marriage for so long,definitely makes that person great.So for me, Rishi and his love for Indira has raised to a greater pedestal;for me,this man is someone like Shahjahan,who had mourned the death of his wife till his last breath.And as I see Rishi,this is a character,whom the writer and the CVs have juggled with many a times,making him pitiable and week,who has raised above all characters through time.In fact,his love and passion is far more greater than Indira,the protagonist of the drama.And this man deserves to be happy for once at least,even if it is at the cost of the welfare of his daughter.For once he should be given a chance to live,to be respected for the person he is.
