It is believed and speculated that Vidit is behind the kidnap of Rishi. But, the question everyone wants to know what is the motive ? what propelled him to do so and hurt his own sister's happiness ?
So, I just want to narrate my version of Vidit's motive as to why he turned negative. Here it goes which is a flashback of Vidit as patient.
When Vidit was treated by Dr. Mukul in hospital, there was a beautiful bengali nurse called Roopa, who is a cousin of Jhumpa. She plays a big part in Vidit's recovery from coma which he eventually does before Sameer puts him back to coma. Vidit develops feelings for Roopa and so does she for him... Vidit proposes her and starts dating and they want to get married after Inshi marriage, but Jhumpa gets to know about her cousin dating Vidit and exploits that by forcing Roopa to have full control of Vidit. So, Roopa brainstorms Vidit if Indu gets married then she would leave SN and he needs to serve his family and shoulder all the responsiblities and he should also not forget he lost 2 precious years of his life in coma due to stupidity of Rishi, which can't be forgiven so easily.
Vidit succumbs to that brainstorming session of Roopa and decides to take revenge over Rishi and kidnaps with the help of Roopa and Jhumpa and thus Rishi is kidnapped.
