I think it is very difficult for men to accept the concept of ghar jamai...but if a woman can leave behind everything and live with her hubby why can't a man live with his wife?

i do not want him to become a slave of sharmas...but not the typical indian jamai type...who thinks tumahrey beti ko shadi kia toh tumko khareed liya...😵

There is a saying--- Baap Bada Na Bhaiyaa Subsey Bada Rupaiyaa!!! Woh Saying SN mein Bilkul Fit Baithti Hai...

SN are greedy for money & if Rishi supports them with Money then automatically he will gain self respect & his say in SN.

Yes, the concept of ghar jamai exists but often the ghar jamai babu's pride is dented. Husband is often called the head of the family but as ghar jamai he doesn't earn that respect and ends up being a rubber stamp in that house.

More so, if he is not a working man like Rishi, then neither the society nor the family members give him that respect and he himself would feel insecure and out of place.

1stly Rishi isnt a person who demands Respect frm others by showing Attitude.

He is amg those who believe that Love comes back to us by loving and doing things for others.

Having said that, i dint understand why some forum ppl were upset with yestday's scenes saying they have lowered Rishi's self respect by showing him begging in front of Kutumb. Rishi is a person who craved for family love, mother's love sply and as he mentioned he felt tht love in Kutumb-Munna scenes soo evn he wished to be loved by Kutumb. ( i wonder dint he see such love amg Simi-Sameer) Anywys...so just to get acceptance and love frm Kutumb, which is very important for him as well as Indira he was saying all those words to Kutumb. And saying abt becoming Ghar Jamai & Going to work and handing over the salary to Kutumb, was to remove the insecurity and fear Kutumb had abt the house expenditures if Indira marries and leaves thm.

Becoming Ghar Jamayi will reduce or compromise a Husband's self-respect only if he is living on the expenses of his in-laws or on his wifes income. If he works for himself and contributes to the house, he would become like Beta of the family or here can become a Head of the family too.

Ahh...i guess i have talked enough abt off-topics...now coming to ur Question.

abt wht Indira expects from Rishi- they are 3 aspects

1) Indira Might expect Rishi to stay as Ghar Jamayi only till Vidit / Munna / Inder takes the responsibility of the family and its expenditures. Coz before that she just cant leave them to their condition. Soo aft that she would surely want to live in her Pati ka Ghar, where ever Rishi would like to start their separate Family.

2) Most Importantly Indira surely wishes and wants him to take up some work and start earning, not just for Supporting her expenditures but mainly he shd become serious abt earning for life and for their Future too!!! He cant stay like this jobless for his Life. He needs to Work & Earn.

3) She would wish him to be affectionate with all her Family members. Loving and caring abt them. Sabke saath hass-bolna, sabka khayal rakhna. She wants him to feel as 1 amg the family. And she would Definately wish/want her family members to Respect & Love him back as their Daughters Husband, as the damad of tht family!

she does- she would want him to be honest with her always and even more than that she would want him to be happy.

everything else is a bonus - working earning everything is irrelevant as of now to indira. she wants him to unconditionally support her and love her.
