If police is asking such questions thn how can a common man will get the justice?..he changed his mind of registering the FIR cos his superior called him...he is more worried about his promotion and pleasing the higher officials by doing the chamchagiri...

Doesnt he has shame asking tht was there any witness?...is it police's stupidity or CVs lack of sense or knowledge about Law...?

Maybe they want to show rape as a typical bollywood kind of nautanki and making the mockery of rape victim?..they are ruining a sensitive and topical issue..Do the police need the witness for a rape?..are rapes done infront of witnesses?isnt this a CVs fault by asking such ridiculous questions?

Mandira was raped by Sameer and again she was mentally and emotionally raped in the police station with those questions..😡

I would like to disagree with what you said.. I don't think the cvs wanted to make fun of mandira by having the inspector asking all sort of questions.. in fact, i think the main purpose was to show the audience that our society has a belief that men are never at fault if a girl is raped. the cvs wanted to show that people like the police inspector is a male chauvinist.. he's clearly enjoying "dsigracing" mandira again and again because he KNOWS that mandira is a woman, and by default she's helpless.. he's also aware that because our society doesn't let women speak for themselves, mandira has a chance of never be proven innocent.. all that the cvs are doing is showing the truth about the world.. sadly, things like that happen to every girl.. if something bad happens to them, the first question asked is "what did you do to cause this??"

I don't consider that sleeping together.. it was just the way mandira made it sound.. they obviously had some level of intimacy, but they didn't sleep together in my opinion.. mandira only wanted to blackmail sameer so that he would marry her!!

Anju, have you heard about husbands being dragged to court by wives on rape ? As per law of court, anything without the consent of the partner constitutes to rape or molest whatever you can call..

If mandira did sleep with sameer, that doesn't mean Sameer can start using her as toy at will.

So, I don't think CVs are wrong to show it as rape as Sameer forcefully had sex with mandira which is nothing but a rape and deserves severe punishment.

RajG, I have not yet watched the episode, but going by what you wrote I completely agree with your title. There are various ways of not registering the case, like they could have asked for medical reports/ doctor's testimonial as proof. Asking for witness is b******t! Come on, if there was a witness won't he/she/they come forward to help the victim?

This is not a way to present a sensitive issue. And what about Ms. Hitler? Where did her knowledge on law disappear to accept the lame excuse of inspector? I would have expected her to behave quite knowledgeably in this critical situation? Didn't she feed some brain in to his head? I remember how well she responded when she herself was arrested in the bus and dragged to police station

Not only of other things, CV's are also hell-bent on making mockery of themselves and their so-called strong character.

Post watching the episode:

Looks like CV's are too self-engrossed and in the wake of glorifying Indira, are treating this sensitive issue lousily.

I could very easily find basic faults in the execution of the police station sequence. First of all, Indira could have asked for a lady police officer while reporting. (Just couple of days back when she was arrested and tortured in the lock-up, there were lady inspectors and constables. So this could not be different police station.) Secondly, she could have easily pointed out to inspector that in such complaints FIR is lodged by victim and no witnesses are required.

Just in February a sexual assault case in West Bengal was very much in news where the victim had to face situation similar to today's sequence. This incident brought many existant laws in to light and CV's could have very nicely showcased those pointers through this track. Alas, instead of realising their social responsibilities they just decided to focus on a fiction showcasing age-old, narrow-minded approach of the society!

i think they slept together ..bfore they ended up in the bed we have seen they r hugging and kissing. each other .isnot it?. above all sam had thought and happy that his dream has fulfilled to sleep with indira..do u want me to believe that sam wont take any advantage?..comeon i dont believe this atleast from that pervert? i dont think so..only differance is that was his secret nasty desire and this one is forcefully revenge ..

It is called rape,because here,Sameer has forced himself on Mandira.Haven't you heard of cases where the Wife was being assaulted by the Husband?? Someone has already got intimated with a guy,that doesn't give the guy the right to force himself on that girl,without her consent!
