as for the billi part...i had noticed that too...forgot to mention...btw dont u think the HD cvs have a penchant for the movie Don? har dialogue wohi se utha rahe hai...😆

Oh sorry! I got so engaged in rewatching those two HD scenes that I completely forgot about your second point! I noticed the Don dialogues, too! Very cool, but I don't like those characters they gave the dialogues to 😆 Haha, Mandira's dialogue made me laugh...I think she's such an annoying character - which reminds me, I loved that scene where Mandira comes in to get her "pocket money" from Indira and Indira responds extremely aggressively. That was such a good scene. I particularly liked how Indira didn't just stop with her usual comments but also got up and started pushing Mandira bit by bit, punctuating her pushes with really great sarcastic comments that were actually quite true.

Nice post Borna... Even I'm thinking the same that past few episodes are trying to establish the difference between the two brothers & how ricky is different from D family.

Nice post Borna.

I too feel that the settings & actions for both the brothers interaction with indira were kept same on purpose. Also, the dialogues uttered by both the brothers are the same. As soon as Sameer says "ye haath chodne ke liye nahi pakda hai"...subconsciously i was transported to the scene where rishi utters the same lines. while i cringed on hearing sam say it i had a dreamy smile when i remembered rishi saying it.

Beautifully written Borna!

You gave a completely different meaning to scenes with Sameer&Indira which kept annoying many here.

Why didn't Indira run away? Like you said, it could be as Ricky was there. Maybe she doesn't feel any danger around her if Ricky is with her.

Aaah Borna i cam back just to reply back to your post...

ok someone pointed it somewhere...simi diwan lays her head on sameer's shoulder...she did it twice...its highly possible she is neglected by her husband...and all her life has depended more on her son for support than her husband...it could be a very complicated character...maybe she doesnt like Indira for another reason...she doesnt want to loose the control over her son...isiliye she calls indira a Shauk...

From what I could see, Indira's discomfort with Sameer's aggressive manner and physical proximity really scared her...She kept struggling to free herself. In contrast, even when Ricky backed her up against the wardrobe, he did so in a more gentle manner (because his intention was never to hurt her or coerce her into accepting him) and despite Indira's tendency to feel awkward and get angry at antics that involve physical proximity, with Ricky/Rishi, it was different. Her response to him was different...She may have felt uncomfortable with how close he was to her, but she wasn't anywhere near as scared or threatened by his closeness as she was when Sameer cornered her. Ricky touched her emotionally, and that's why when he moved those loose strands of hair away from her face, she didn't fully realize what was happening until a few seconds later and she didn't protest, either...When Sameer touches her, on the other hand, she immediately pushes his hand away and tries to get out of his grasp. I found it fascinating how Indira responded to those two men...The one she loves and who loves her versus the one who she abhors and who wants to possess her. I just can't see that February 20th scene in any other way now that I've found it to be a juxtaposition. It says a lot in favor of Indira's character and personality, too...

Borna, not that these points are not valid and contrast between brothers has not been played out. I mean the infusion of those contrasting scenes and dialogues are purposeful indeed.

However, there is a big BUT for me to accept the contrast in natural flow. When Rishi came that close to Indira, she already has been knowing him for couple of months, knew him as a good person who helped her out, whom she treated him as her friend. She knew his flirtatious ways around her and also his references to Macau marriage and how there was the thin line being honoured between the jokes and reality. Even the photo changing on website scene, it had angered her and she was confronting that with already that anger and hurt emotion peaked out...

Whereas in Sameer scene, she hardly had any emotion for Sameer to not see him in any other light than the most objective light ANY GIRL would feel the difference. He was not a good person to her and an intruder at that particular moment. So the shock and retaliation at surpassing the decent limits of communication is what is expressed most.

To me the contrast being played out was for the sake of audience, where the audience and not Indira start juxtaposing the brothers and start taking sides. Indira does not have any bandwidth at this point to start thinking about the two brothers in one frame. This week Indira was back to being Hitler Didi..whatever little she progressed on to be Indira from HD had to be regressed to become HD due to Rishi revelation.

And what I am meaning by saying all this (so unnecessary for many of HDians..) is that the audience is being made to have apathy against Sameer which has become sympathy factor for Rishi-Ricky and we all are being made to have certain wishes for our Indira-Hitler Didi

As some pointed out, this apathy infusion for Sameer was unnecessary, things could have been achieved in a different way as well, And so the highlight of this week was our general unhappiness at creatives making Sameer a psycho, Radhey a mercenary(of course someone already pointed out that Indira knew Radhey to be that from the beginning as expressed in one of her dialogues earlier on) and so on...
I mean does this HD show always have to have ALL (other than chosen FEW GOOD MEN) characters in BLACK rather than GREY shades day by day ??? Look at that Inder Sharma scene on 24th Feb... Grey is fine. Dark grey, murkier grey is also fine...so long as the creatives maintain it...just don't turn them black without any reason.

Shri, you raise a lot of very good points and I'm sure I missed out on a lot of discussion during the week when I wasn't around this forum...I'm going to go off on a tangent now, just writing out thoughts as they come to me...
I agree that things could have been done in a different way regarding Sameer's character, but now that they've turned him into a very murky character, I don't know what else to do except sit back and watch the proceedings. Maybe there is a reason for all of these characters like Radhe, Inder Sharma, and Sameer Diwan being portrayed in such a way...Maybe it's just a way to tilt the scales in Ricky's favor...I don't know. Somewhere in all of this, I'm guessing that the ones motivated by monetary gain (Sameer, Inder, Radhe) have been depicted this way to show that. Greed as a base motive, in contrast with the few characters who are happy with very little. It's frustrating to see that more and more people are turning out to be stacked in the former category, but there are more people like that anyway. Ricky may not care for money, but he has other flaws and drawbacks that make him real and not an idealized hero. At this point, I've learned to not get too involved in the "what-could-have-beens" because that list is always going to be endless due to our varying visions and expectations.
Even if Indira isn't consciously sitting and dwelling on the contrasting qualities of the two brothers, I still feel that to a small extent, she believes that Ricky would never overstep his limits the way Sameer did, and the small amount of time she has known Sameer was enough for her to assess his character. At least there has been consistency in her perception of him - his actions just reinforce that negative opinion she has of him more and more. And even if Indira isn't comparing the brothers, her instinctive reaction to Ricky getting hit with the rod was a major indicator of her feelings for him.
As for the regression from "Indira Sharma" to "Hitler Didi", I expected this to happen. Indira's trust has been shattered yet again by someone she never ever thought she could come to like, much less love...But she fell in love with him despite his "flaws" and accepted him after years of keeping a tight hold on her heart. She couldn't control the effect Ricky had on her...And to suddenly find out that the man she loves has hidden aspects of his life that she doesn't know about...who wouldn't feel angry? Indira is already known to be volatile (or at least I think she is volatile because of her vulnerability) and her excessively exaggerated actions and comments hit their mark in terms of intent for me personally. The way I see it, Indira has been conditioned by her experiences in such a way that she tends to react in extremes. With Vidit Bhaiyya, Ishaan (sometimes), Amma, and later Rishi, she was slowly starting to tend more toward "balanced" expression of emotions...But maybe this is the point. When her support system has been snatched from her, the stabilizing factors and comforts are gone...and coupled with frustration, grief, and anger, it's just too much to handle and it seems to the audience that she's out of character. I'm going to interpret this as a sort of relapse. An extreme relapse...but I can't ignore the little details that still hint at the "Indira Sharma" wanting to break free from the "Hitler Didi" inside of Indira.
*sigh* I doubt any of that made sense. Just trying to put my own views out here...It's not an easy task. As always, I greatly appreciate those who have taken the time to read my comments!
