Rati Pandey dressed as Hitler

While the name of the show 'Hitler Didi' may have stirred up quite a storm during its launch, it doesn't seem to have deterred lead actressRati Pandey from dressing up as the (in)famous Adolf Hitler for the show'sNew Year special episode. At a recent shoot of what looks like an exciting theme party coming up on Hitler Didi, we spotted her dressed up as the Nazi dictator, complete with a fake moustache and the Nazi uniform. While Rati might have chosen to stay true to her character in the show, the rest of the cast was spotted dressed up in colorful vibrant costumes, playing iconic characters from Hollywood and Bollywood films.

Talkative and bubbly Smita Singh who plays Sunanina Bhabhi looked pretty dolled up as a courtesan a la Umrao Jaan or Pakeezah, shaking a leg to Inhi Logon Ne Le Leena Dupatta Mera while Sandeep Baswana, her hubby on the show, got into the Big B's garbs from the 80's cult hit Shahenshah. With little Master Ishan looking absolutely adorable as a mini Superman, the show has roped in little Zaina Vastani of Aap Ki Antara fame as his cute l'il love interest who will land up at the party dressed as Superwoman In a complete 180 degree turnaway from his on-screen character, Sumit Vats who plays Rishi, the male lead on the show, surprised everyone when he showed up as a rogue pirate straight from the Pirates of the Caribbean! Between the eye patch and roguish charm, it took the entire crew a while to correctly guess the identity of the dashing light eyed pirate who had invaded the sets.

"It was good fun being Adolf Hitler for the New Year's Eve party! After all, they call me Hitler wherever I go these days. The idea of dressing up as him started off with a brainstorm over what Indira should wear to such a light-hearted theme party when she is such a serious person. Since the entire family calls her Hitler Didi, it felt like the most logical thing for her to dress up as. Let's hope everyone loosens up a little and and takes it with a pinch of salt." said Rati when asked about her look.

Watch Rati Pandey and the rest of the cast as they get ready to bring in the New Year with a costume party on Monday, January 2 at 8 PM on Zee TV.

Here is some good news for the fans of Trilogy Krikos' show Hitler Didi on Zee TV. The soap which is slowly and steadily climbing high on the TRP ladder will soon see a new entry. Guess who? Okay, we will break the suspense. Smart and handsome Mrunal Jain, who was last seen in Looteri Dulhan, will be seen in the show.

Mrunal will play the character of Rishi's (Sumit Vats) elder brother Sameer, a business tycoon who gives more priority to his professional than personal life. His character will be full-fledged one and if sources are to be believed, creatives will introduce a love track between Rati Pandey (Indira) and Mrunal.

Tellychakkar.com contacted Mrunal Jain and he refused to comment but the director of the show, Mohit Kumar Jha, went on to confirm, "Yes, Mrunal has already started shooting for Hitler Didi and his entry is expected to be aired on Friday (30 December 2011)."

Furthermore, rumours are also making the rounds that the male lead in the show Sumit has not managed to impress viewers, hence the creatives decided to bring in Mrunal. But Mohit rubbishes all rumours and says, "It was planned from day one that Sameer will make an entry so that people will get to know about Rishi's background."

Hope Mrunal's entry will further spike up the show's ratings!!!
