Hello friends,
If you have seen today's epi Indira is planning to have the Power OF Attorney made in her name to protect the house. This is what the Lawyer had suggested her. So what do you think will Indira have the power of attorney made in her name? Will people smell a RAT in this? Will Kutumb sign it? Will the entire family especialy Munna support this decission?

My opinion is she would and she should to protect the house. And had I been Kutumb I would give the house to Indira willingly because she is the only one who truly deserves it not nalayak munna nor faltoo munna bhaisaab.

do comment..

Regards
Rinky

i dont think kutumb will give her the power of attorney. she is not gonna make it impossible for her and inder, to in his words, 'live together'!(aargh). she wont give indira the ultimate power over her house.

Hmmm...but if kutumb knew that munna bhaisab himself wanted to sell the property to a builder maybe she would...but before that there would be much tamasha

Rinky- Indira & Lawyer scn was the only best part of todays episode and again left us into thinking...abt the power of attorney!!! Lawyer had suggested her the best to keep the house safe!!! He too knws abt Munna bhai sahad!! but i doubt whtr kutumb would sign on Indira's name...she may create a big drama and again bad mouth indira with all sorts of tanne & scoldings.

i loved Indira's dialogues whn she told tht she doesnt want to claim any rights on the house, as she doesnt expt anything...not evn frm her mother whn she explains abt her reason for not taking the attorney on her name or abt transfering it later to some1's name.

yes nikhi that part where she says she doesn't expect anything was rather poignant...shows how much her ma's taaney has affected her...its not about expectations or greed...but for a daughter not to expect anything from her mother is rather sad...shows how much she has moved away emotionally from kutumb...sad really sad

I also want that as I know only Indira could save that house. But we all know Kutumb. She would never do this because after that she couldn't able to welcome her beloved husband into this house and how could she let this happen! and beside that There would be Munna also who has already a great plan! so he would also try that it couldn't be happened.

she is the only one who truly deserves it

I truly don't think she is having it made to protect her share or right over it. Even if she lost her portion of the house, she is independent enough to build her own life. This is about not letting an asset, which belongs to the whole family falling into the hands of people who would ruin it.

Her whole life has been about protecting her family from their own weaknesses. If she had wanted to protect herself from their weaknesses, then she would have left them all a long time ago.

but for a daughter not to expect anything from her mother is rather sad...shows how much she has moved away emotionally from kutumb

It touched me too. However I think the disunity within all the relationships isn't just about Indira not being able to trust people because of what her father did BUT also about others within the family not being able to trust people because of what their father did. People are not born bad natured but it is a case of the effect of the environment for me. I think it would be nice if the creatives spent time highlighting why the people who surround Indira are the way they are too.

Sometimes I feel that the reason that Indira stays in this difficult environment is because she understands their pain too. All unsaid and unspoken, maybe under the surface but perceivable to people like Indira who have seen them suffer through their own lives too. To me they are like petulant children throwing twisted tantrums rooted in those chips carried on their shoulders and as James Dean said rebelling against 'whatever you got!' It isn't that they hate Indira and wish and oppose her but rather they are fighting the world, taking out their frustrations of its cruelty and injustice, where Indira becomes a manifestation for its authority.

@ rinky: thank you, yaar! amongst all the threads zeroing in on the love aspect (don't mean to be blunt about it or step on any toes- but I wish there were more discussions that do not revolve on the romance since HD is a serial which allows discourse concerning the human factor), & you mentioned something I was thinking about while watching the episode.

@ a little faith : you always say so eloquently the words of my mind.

When the lawyer had mentioned the POA should be given to Indira, my mind's voice was protesting it because despite Indira's high capabilities..I didn't want her to be responsible or tangled with something that would allow her family members to pick at her more. I can just imagine all the things they would say to her or do to her. For instance, that few span of episodes when everyone disregarded indira and basically ostracized her was really painful to watch. Yes, she has some habits that seem to work against her more than for her within sharma niwas, but rules are there for a reason. She has to be stern to a group of self-indulgent people because they've never been held accountable for their actions. Like Sabah, I want to see more background concerning why Munna relies on luck, Kutumb was left by her husband and still worships him, whether Mandira's habit of flirting with almost every male is some psychological effect of not having a father figure. We see a lot of Indira's reasoning and why she must be an effective household manager, but we have yet to see why everyone in her family has made her the scapegoat. Vidit is some long-lost brother that could easily be seen as someone who deserted his family, and yet none of them point fingers at him for leaving, etc. In the end, I'm basically trying to, in my own way, expound on Sabah's " It isn't that they hate Indira and wish and oppose her but rather they are fighting the world, taking out their frustrations of its cruelty and injustice, where Indira becomes a manifestation for its authority. "

^ @Moksha

I love reading your posts, you always bring a new perspective to my thoughts. I particularly loved this one Mandira's habit of flirting with almost every male is some psychological effect of not having a father figure.

Though I have a tendency to read beyond the borders of characterizations, I find that sometimes in doing so I unearth the secrets of the human condition. For instance with Indira, I kept asking why? That reason behind her remaining in a situation that though strengthens her character also weakens her, as she slowly is distanced from that person she might have been. She isn't stuck in a rut nor dependent upon them so much emotionally, with the exception of Ishaan and yet remains by their side even if physically she stands in front. For me initially I saw it as a testament to the selfless character she became despite her father, and even mother. However recently I have been musing upon the notion that maybe there is another layer, that she understands her family in a way that we do not. We see that outward insolence whereas maybe she perceives that pain of treading upon the broken glass of their shattered dreams. Just as she submits to her persona of Hitler Didi to facilitate their lives, maybe they too submit to personae of sorts like an emotional cushioning for them. For instance as you noted above, Mandira's need to manipulate men as a way to control them into not walking out of her life. Maybe she really does wish to just fall in love, as most girls do and the pain of which broken hope is found in her behaviour against Indira's arranged marriage. So that she isn't fighting Indira's rule in this matter so much, as expressing her angst against a loveless life in general. 😕😆😳 I think I should stop here. 😆
