How do we copy a long text from another post in IF?

When I copy after 2-3 lines the link gets pasted. So I need to copy 2 lines at a time and paste.

Open two windows, one where you have your post and the other where you want to copy that post. Just select the whole post, use your left mouse button to move the selected post, without releasing the finger drag the content to the destination window and drop it.
