HARRY Potter author JK Rowling has given unprecedented access to RDF MEDIA to film a fly-on-the-wall documentary about her.
A film crew followed the billionaire author over the last year — during which time she was writing the seventh and final Potter book.
The show is a massive coup for RDF, the company behind Channel 4 hits like Wife Swap and Faking It.
Ms Rowling is notoriously private and very rarely gives interviews. It is understood the programme will be broadcast on ITV1 as a one-off special before Christmas.
The news came as RDF reported it had won a string of new commissions from broadcasters.
These include a 12-part series of Wife Swap and The Great Pretender, a new quiz show for ITV1 hosted by Chris Tarrant.

RDF is also making a four-part "factual entertainment" series for BBC1 in which celebrities will be sent to fend for themselves in the Outer Hebrides.
And it is making a five-part series for BBC1 on the Queen and royal household, a six- hour drama for ITV1 and Empty, a comedy series for BBC2.
David Frank, RDF's chief executive, said: "We remain confident of prospects for the full year." But shares eased 0.5p to 256.5.
INCISIVE MEDIA, publisher of business titles like Legal Week and Accountancy Age, is buying US media firm ALM for 315million. ALM, whose backers include Wall Street legend Bruce 'Bid Em Up Bruce' Wasserstein, owns 33 US business mags and newspapers.
