MEGA UPDATE : News Of The Day 09/05/07 - Page 2

As we told you previously, and witnessed by this editor and others who have mailed tonight, the new full length trailer for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is indeed showing in theaters right before Spider-Man 3.

Editor's Note: If you get the chance, it really is quite the sight to behold that trailer played on a huge screen such as this editor saw it today. The parts at the end of the trailer, especially with the battle squences, Lord Voldemort, and the proclamations exploding, are even more stunning seen on a large screen. Get out your wizard atlas for we have a new contest for you involving the most magical place you know. Live in a real Shrieking Shack? Have your own Whomping Willow in the backyard? Using your Muggle photography equipment, the challenge this month is to take a photo of some place that reminds you a setting found in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. An example of such a thing might even include roads and the like, as seen in this photo. You might enter the photo with the description of something like "This image was taken when I was in Germany, and it really reminds me of the road to The Dark Forest. It's got that creepy kind of mood and I could almost imagine the unicorns and acromantulas lurking just out of sight!"

All photos must be submitted via email to contests@the-leaky-cauldron.org no later than midnight, May 31, 2007 (EST). For more details on this contest, click here.

The onslaught of new photos from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix continues as even more new scans from the "Hogwarts Through the Years" Poster Book are now online. Included are a new (slightly blurry) photo of the Trio in the Hogshead, similar to this one officially released previously by WB. Other scans of the various smaller photos online include looks at the centaur drawings, the thestral again, a slightly different angle of this photo Weasley family waiting in Dumbledore's office,and a new one of Luna, can be seen here at ootpmoviepicslive journal community. This book, which has an official release date of June 1 is apparently being sold early at various bookstores.

Wow!!!! The news ound score's gonna be awesome! I loved Hedwig's theme, and I guess I'll love this as well... The ringtone part sounds... Reallll good!

And I went for Spiderman 3 today... No signs of OotP trailer... maybe i missed it. 😳

J.K. Rowling Updates Site with New Info on Draco, More

It would seem this fine spring day will bring some news from J.K.Rowling, as she has now updated herF.A.Q section with a bit about young Mr. Malfoy, his Patronus, confirmation about the exact date of birth for Lord Voldemort, and interestingly, we learn that Myrtle was indeed a Ravenclaw and Tonks is a proud member of the House of Hufflepuff!
