I agree Ron and Hermione had that flare, You could just tell while reading books that they are so meant to be. They may not agree on every point , may have arguments but they respected each other's POV and never really stopped each other from believing what they felt is right.Originally posted by: ..RamKiJanaki..
I prefer Hermione with Ron, because 1) he compliments her and brings out her best qualities and vice versa, and 2) no other male character in HP goes well with her IMO.
For me, Harry and Hermione have always been like siblings. They come from similar backgrounds, raised by muggles and not knowing of the wizarding world until they receive their letter. Also, their personalities are very similar too. Harry may not be as smart as Hermione, but he is just as dedicated in what he believes in. For Hermione it's studies and for Harry it's Quidditch. :P Harry and Hermione would have been SO boring together. They never had that spark like Ron and Hermione did. They'd never argue, they wouldn't have had any passion in their relationship. I'm not saying excessive arguing is healthy for a relationship, but Ron and Hermione had that flare and passion that would keep their relationship exciting and strong until they'd grow old. Harry and Hermione were like siblings. They loved each other, but only as a brother and sister. Harry himself said so in DH.As for Draco-Hermione, I would not have liked them together because I am strongly against couples where one person constantly insults the other and yet the other falls in love with them. This "love-hate" relationship scenario is one that has never sat well with me. Why? Because it's so impractical and hardly ever happens in real life. Draco looked down on Hermione for all seven years of their schooling and constantly called her a " filthy little Mudblood", which is a racial slur equivalent to calling someone a nigger, fagot, or anything else equally insulting. When Hermione was being tortured in Malfoy Manor, Draco may have felt bad but he didn't do anything to stop it. Saying he was scared is not an excuse. If he truly cared for Hermione in his heart (as some fans claim) or even felt guilty for what happened to her, he'd have tried to stop his aunt. But he did nothing except stare at her as the torture was happening. After all that, I don't see how any woman with an ounce of self-respect could fall in love with a man like that. No woman in real life could even come to like a man who insults her constantly and watches as she's being tortured, let alone love him. So no, I don't buy their coupling. It would never have happened. Maybe if Hermione was a weak character with no self-respect, she'd have liked Draco, but she's a strong character, one who believes in principles and stands up for what's right. She stood up for the liberation of all house elves and other lesser creatures, whereas Draco's family constantly abused said house elves. Draco stood for everything Hermione did not believe in and was strongly against. She was a strong principled woman. She'd never have fallen in love with him.Honestly, I think the only reason people even like their coupling is because of Tom Felton and Emma Watson. I agree that these two actors had great chemistry even as enemies on screen, but in the story, I do not support Draco-Hermione's relationship at all.
