DOTW -- Does Voldemort deserve a chance?

well....now dat you think bout...
The way JKR...has potrayed Voldy....he can never be a good guy....i mean..its because of what he did in the past..makes Harry what he is today....the story i feel will have less substance....as to giving Voldamort another chance....i dont know...i guess it wud be no....he just adds the satanic evil part to the world of Harry Potter.....
And if hes a hero...then hu else will be da bad guy....as i have said earlier...hu will give the evil affect to the story....theres no other character like him to pull it off !!

the way tom riddle took revange of watever his dad did to his mom was brutal enough.but the rest of the society dint do any harm to him...esp hogwarts..so there was no need to go to the dark side .....dumbledore was the one who brought him 2 the world of magic...and he killed not only him but numerous other ppl who refused to support him
so i dont think he deserves a chance

Wow! Amazing point you've got out there! But oh well, has anyone, ANYONE been nice to him, ever except dumbledore? Has anyone, not nice, but been anything but mean, rude and unkind to him? NO, nobody, but his group of death eaters, and obviously, he prefers them! With good reason too! But whoa! You have an AMAZING point there!

Points noted, but I said, IF , just IF we looked at him, not as how he was portrayed, but based on the cold, and hard facts...! Is he good or is he bad is NOT the question. Does he deserve a chance? Maybe , just maybe he has reason.... think of it that way....

You have a good point there. The question is not if he is good or bad. If that had been the question, the responses are different.

Voldemort has it in his blood to be powerhungry. Slytherins are sly and powerhungry and our voldy has proved to be the true descedent by taking it to one extreme.

He has pride, ego and arrogance in his blood to match his hunger for power and even if he is given a chance he will misuse it.

Dumbledore gave him all the chances he needed but he did not take any of them, the first one being giving him the chance to get into hogwarts.

After having taken everyone for a ride and gotten Dumbledore, the only reason he actually got to where he was, killed, he does not deserve a chance.

And whatever reason he personally has it cannot justify what he is doing.

He is a mass murderer and there is such a thing as universal right and wrong and this classified into wrong. HE not only murders but also tortures and causes pain to others and this, whatever may be the reason, cannot be justified.

I don't think he deserves a chance!! I mean he could have dealt with his grief in other ways. I mean he doesn't have go around Killing people and torturing them. So i mean he is evil and doesn't desevre a second chance, and he did get a second chance I mean when he rose again he didn't have to be tejh Dark lord again he could have changed his idenity and gone and stayed somewhere else.

=Ysh= Yes, I agree, fine, what he did was very very evil.. but in the beginning, it was what people did to him that lead to such a thing, in a way... When he started off, if only people were more like dumbledore... If they had been,then Voldemort could have possibly understood better..

I think the questions is more of "Did voldemort deserve a chance" rather than "Does Voldemort deserve a chance" 😉
