There was humongous uproar when J.K Rowling said that Harry would have been better off with Hermione than Ron. This was on timesofindia.com: (Sorry if this has been posted before, I couldn't help it, being a strong supporter of Romione and Hinny)

JK Rowling has backtracked on what she called "Potter heresy" by saying that Ron and Hermione will be alright with a bit of counselling.

The 48-year-old writer said that the couple will probably be fine with a bit of marriage counselling, where he needs to work on his self-esteem issues and she needs to work on being a little less critical, the Guardian reported. Rowling claimed that Hermione, just like her creator, has a weakness for a funny man, as it is such a relief from being so intense herself and therefore she needs someone who takes or appears to take life more light-heartedly. Rowling had previously told Emma Watson in an interview that she paired Hermione-Ron as a form of wish fulfillment and for reasons very little to do with literature and far more to do with her clinging to the plot, which in turn had traumatized 'Harry Potter' fans.
