so heres d chappy 3 for all of u 😆😳:

CHAPTER 3

Next morning at breakfast James and Lily were desperately trying to make small talk. But Sirius and Alex were still eating in stony silence, heated up about last nights fight. Finally both James and Lily gave up and left for their workplace. Reluctantly Sirius and Alex too left for the magazine office together.

"These buses travel so slowly," Sirius said wonderingly when they were seated on the bus 5 minutes later.

Alex giggled and said, "It's Muggle transport, what do you expect?"

Sirius didn't reply. He was busy staring at the lady standing next to them in the aisle. Alex rolled her eyes. Clearing her throat, she said, "Anyway, I'll have to go for Auror training at 3 o' clock. That's 5 hours from now. But unfortunately I can't Apparate from the workplace. You'll have to cover for me till 5 o' clock."

"Oh! Yeah. Yeah, sure thing." Sirius said, jerking back to pay attention to her. Alex gave a satisfied smile.

Once they reached the office they had to meet their new boss, Mr. Bentley. He was a short, stout man with a pompous nature.

"Welcome! Welcome!! You are our newest recruits. Since you are young and without experience, you shall be doing only odd little jobs for the first few months you spend over here. But do not complain! I should remind you that everything big starts out small! And when you two become famous, you will do good to remember me!"

He took a deep breath, as though this was a by-hearted speech he gave every new person on the job. Sirius was trying his best not to laugh and he realized Alex was, too.

Mr. Bentley showed them to their desks, which were right next to each other in the large and crowded office room.

Once their boss left, Alex turned to Sirius in disgust. "Great, now I have to sit next to you too?"

"I'm not happy about it either," Sirius said, rolling his eyes, "But I guess we have no choice. We are on the same mission, you know. It is necessary to be near each other at all times. It's common Auror knowledge." Sirius finished, with a superior grin.

"I know that," Alex hissed, "I was just complaining about working with you, that's all."

And as was so common with them they turned away in a huff and went and sat at their respective seats, arranging some papers on their desk which Mr. Bentley had given them.

Time passed by slowly. Their jobs were quite boring. All they had to do was go through papers and more papers, arranging and sorting them out.

At around two o' clock a man walked up to Alex's desk. He was tall and muscular, with longish black hair. He pulled up a chair opposite Alex's desk and sat down. Leaning on the table he gave her an up-and-down look and grinned appreciatively.

It was obvious he was out to impress her.

"Hey, there," he said, in what he supposedly thought was an impressive tone, "the name's Will. I don't think I've seen you around here before."

Sirius cringed. This guy was the worst flirt he'd ever seen.

Alex, however, seemed to be enjoying it.

"It's my first day on the job," she said, flashing him a smile.

For some reason Sirius felt a flash of irritation. What was Alex doing when they were supposed to be working?

"Oh good!" Will was saying, "I've been here a month. It's been quite boring. But now that you're here…" he let his voice trail off suggestively.

Alex giggled. Sirius frowned.

"I could show you around sometime, what say?" said Will.

"Oh!! I think I'd like-" before Alex could complete her sentence, she found herself yanked up by Sirius.

"What do you think you're doing?" Sirius hissed in an irritated tone, "You're supposed to be going somewhere, remember?"

Flustered, Alex looked down at her watch. "Oh, yes, but it isn't for another-"

"Let's go," Sirius said, still holding on to her arm. Turning to Will, he said sarcastically, "Break time's up, the lady's gotta go somewhere. Bye!"

Will looked at the two of them, frowning. Then he looked at Sirius' hand holding Alex's and said, "Hey, mate, no hard feelings. I should have known this babe was taken." He shrugged, "All the good ones are taken. It's just my luck."

Sirius let his hand remain where it was. Alex's eyes widened at what Will was saying and opened her mouth to say something, but Will had already gone back to his table.

Alex turned to Sirius, furious with rage.

"You- what on earth- why- how DARE you!" she sputtered.

"You have to get to training," Sirius said, equally angry, but ignoring Alex's question. Continuing, he said, "C'mon, I'm going with you."

Without bothering to give Bentley an excuse Sirius dragged Alex out of the building. She grumbled continuously, with Sirius calmly retorting to every one of her complaints.

"I can't believe you did that! I liked Will!"

"He's all wrong for you. You can never be too careful with the type of guys who flirt so badly."

"Like you're a perfect little saint, right?"

"We are not talking about me. We are talking about dear Will. We do not socialize with people when we are on official Auror business."

"I-I was not socializing! God, what's wrong with a little careless flirting??"

"He might've been dangerous."

"Oh yeah? What would he have done? Eaten me up? I'm a witch, for crying out loud! Besides, I don't need you to escort me to the Auror training building!"

"I'm afraid to let you out of my sight. Who knows what you'll get up to? You'll meet another Will and forget to go for training. Then you'll be kicked out and wont be an Auror anymore."

"Yeah right. Thanks for the concern, dad. But I can take care of myself! I know what's good for me!!" Alex said, sounding almost sulky.

They fell into an angry silence, too irritated to continue their fight.

All along, Alex forgot to complain about Sirius' grip on her arm.
