i guess i finally cracked the holy man teaser.

the answer is Severus Snape!

You cared about me and I about you

snape cared for harry but didn't get vice versa. sorry.

he protected harry. self explanatory.

these two lines depict snapes sarcasm towards harry . Lolz

and about the holy man part...
well Severus Snape shares first name with a saint Severus, Patriarch of Antioch in history. Google, thanks a lot. lol

I must say, Severus is not the answer...although I can understand why it made so much sense to you. So firstly, Sorry 😳. And good work on the research. 👍🏼

Secondly, the reason you did so is because you took the different stanzas for the 2 characters separately. The ENTIRE riddle refers to the 2 characters. So it fits Ron, as well as the other character, whom you misunderstood for Snape. Now why it can't be Snape, is because of what I have written in Red below...in fact, it's for the very line that you very understandably did not understand 😆.

However, Harry never cared for Snape...even if you count the time he felt sorry for him when he was left to die by Voldy. That can't exactly be called 'caring', right? Plus Snape does not fit in the 1st stanza)

these two lines depict snapes sarcasm towards harry . Lolz. (Very good observation⭐️, I must say, but when I wrote these lines, mere dimaag ki bati uss direction mein nahi jali😳... So these lines were just added to go with the rhyme and perhaps it is sarcasm, but not from Snape, just me. 😛😆)

Once again...The holy man clue is not just for the second para...but for the entire riddle except the sarcasm lines 😆.

And Ani, I NEVER said it HAS to be a man...I used the description term 'Holy Man' because it refers to the synonym of the word used with this person in real life. To make things easy, I can tell you that it's technically a 'Holy Woman', but this is just to describe the muggle person. In the HP world, it could be anyone but that character definitely share it's name with this 'holy woman'.

Very confusing I know...will give some more clues later, if no one's able to get it. 😊

I think I'll edit the riddle a bit as the guessing for the other character is still open. And this may lead you all in the right direction. The very last lines i.e. the clues are about actual people with the same name as the character...like how Ani rightly guessed that 'president' referred to 'Ronald Reagan'.😊 So don't get confused:

whoa Severus is incorrect!lol act ya i took one stanza for one character and messed up. thanks for clearing it up hermy.

no matter. saare gawahon aur saboot ko maadenazar rakhte hun Anirudh is natijay pe pahucha hai ki dusra correct answer Hedwig hai.

Will give explanation in some time in next post. my girlfriend is blowing fire on me. Lolz Will be back soon.

harry needed a pet. someone he could call his own. a friend perhaps.

he got her during his maiden year to the land of his own world.

Yet departed in the midst of a crisis vast.

she left him forever right in the middle. hated Joe for having killed her.

You cared about me and I about you

self explanatory. both loved each other and cared for each other.

Got wounded and wounded others to defend you

her fight with the death eaters over London sky in last book.

You may be a hero, but Smart...are you?

hermy you said these lines are for rhyme so I'll leave it as it is.

and as to the holy woman clue.:
well Hedwig shares her name with St. Hedwig of Silesia of the 13th century.
another stark similarity found between the two is that the Saint took care of the orphaned and the poor and the same goes for our hedwig who took care of an orphaned ie harry.
its touching.
