J.K. Rowling on Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential Poll

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is included in a new poll being conducted by Time Magazineasking who are the most influential people for 2006. Each week they have been asking readers to vote on different categories; this week the category is "Artists & Entertainers." Along with Jo, some others listed in this category include comedian Jon Stewart, film director Ang Lee, singer Kanye West, and actors George Clooney and Clint Eastwood. To vote, click here. Rupert Grint, Phelps Twins Talk Phoenix in Radio Interview

Previously, we told youthat actors Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), and James and Oliver Phelps (Fred & George) would be appearing on theJo Whiley showon BBC Radio 1. That interview aired earlier today, and is also now available online for you to listen via this link. Early reports say that they discussed both the Goblet of Fire DVD extras, and the upcoming Order of the Phoenix movie. Apparently, Rupert does discuss filming scenes today with the D.A in Umbridge's office. More when we get it!

"Rupert said they were being restrained by Malfoy's gang and Dan gets slapped in the face. They talked about filming the QWC attack scenes and were also asked to describe fellow cast members with one word. For Dan they said "music lover" and "hyperactive". For Emma they said, "different", Gary Oldman, "cool", Alan Rickman, "scary" and Robbie Coltrane, "hilarious". "

Robert Pattinson Film to Air in Canada

Canadian viewers will now have an opportunity to see "Dark Kingdom; The Dragon King," with actor Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory). The film was previously aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in the U.S., but not in Canada. "Dark Kingdom" will be shown on Canada's Space Channel on May 13-14 at 7:00 p.m.

Goblet of Fire Sets IMAX Record

Warner Bros. and IMAX Corporation announced today that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has surpassed the $20 million (USD) mark in box office receipts, becoming the first 2D Digitally remastered IMAX film to do so. So far the film has grossed $20,033,758 million worldwide in IMAX theaters, an average of $188,998 per screen.

Crouch's Who Beats Potter Two

David Tennant, or Barty Crouch Jr. from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire attracted more than eight million viewers for BBC One on Easter Saturday, TVSquad reports. This was his first turn as the title character of the series two opener of Doctor Who, New Earth; the show was up against Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on ITV1, which netted five million viewers.
