Instead of selecting the all-encompassing status quo, MTV has kicked things up a notch and tossed out a few fun wild-card nominees (and categories) that might just put a little spring into Oscar's step (well... one can only hope).

Daniel has been nominated in a new category ordained by MTV: Best Performance by a Hormonally Confused Teen. You can view MTV's synop HERE. Evidently they were all impressed by the "sweaty palms, nervous laughter and bumbling hilarity" that arose while "Harry, Hermione and Ron came to grips with their budding sexuality."
