It might be a possibility, but I don't think it'll really happen. I mean, Rowling is unperdictible. Who would have thought Snape would be the Half-blood prince? 😕

The identity of R.A.B. still remains a mystery. We'll just have to wait and see.

It is a possibilty, but why would Dumbledore's brother go hunting after Voldemort's horcrux? And, most importantly, how would he know about it at all? I dunno much about him except that he is a barman at Hog's Head, but he is in the Order. And if the rest of the Order don't know about the horcrux, then how would he would he know about the horcrux, since it took even Dumbledore, the greatest wizard, some time to know that Voldemort had made horcruxes. And, even if someone knew about his horcruxes, then they'd have to know a lot about his childhood and his habits too, and Dumbledore found this out using many people's memories, etc. So, I don't think he'd go through all this trouble, and even if he did, he would have asked someone at the least, and who better to ask than his brother himself, who is the greatest wizard of all time and also the "leader" of the Order.

And, this whole thing makes sense if it is Regulus. He was a death eater, so he knew more about Voldemort than any "normal" people or most of the people in Order. He probably figured it all out when Voldemort said that he was mortal than anyone or something like that, and did some reasearch on his part and found the horcrux exactly where it was. And, later he died. Otherwise, why would JKR include the trio seeing that same locket in the Grimmauld place in the fifth book?

But, we'll just have to wait 'til the seventh book to find out what really happened.. 😃

I've always thought that it was Regulua Black. From the time I finished reading HBP.

I very much doubt it. People rarely mix up initials as it ruins the flow of the actual words and ends up being gibberish. JKR has never given gibberish clues; she always maintains the pattern.

Again I doubt this. Aberforth, being a member of the OoTP, would not address Voldy as the Dark Lord. Moreover, if he knew about the horcruxes, why didn't he aid his brother?

you may be right. it depends on whether Aberforth had another title like Snape did (the HBP) which formed the initials RAB.

Sometimes, the OBVIOUS is what works - like our favourite ship R/Hr. 😉
