R.A.B : Aberforth Dumbledore???

I don't know why but I have this crazy notion that R.A.B could well be Aberforth Dumbledore.

I have searched high and low, left, right and centre across the net looking for his full name (like how Dumby's is Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore). Cannot seem to find it!

Somehow maybe his full name could have the remaining initials of 'R' and 'B'.

So then this was the note that was found alongside the locket:

To the Dark Lord
I know I will be dead long before you read this
but I want you to know that it was I who discovered your secret.
I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can.
I face death in the hope that when you meet your match you will be mortal once more.
R.A.B.

When it states, "I will be dead long before......" - this can only mean that the person is indeed still alive! Dumbledore's brother is still alive and working as the barman of the Hog's Head.

(This excerpt is taken from Wikipedia) It may be possible that Aberforth is currently in possession of the real version of the fake Horcrux found by Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore at the end of Half-Blood Prince. Leaving Mundungus in Hogsmeade in Half-Blood Prince, he was described as "drawing his cloak more tightly around his neck" as he walked away. Since the Horcrux is a locket, it's possible that he purchased from Mundungus the unopenable locket found by Harry and the others at Grimmauld Place in Order of the Phoenix. If this is the case, it raises further questions as to why Aberforth did not inform his brother about the locket, or, if he did, why Dumbledore went to the trouble of acquiring the fake. It is expected that we will learn more about Aberforth in the seventh and final Harry Potter book.

(Back to me now) I just think that Regulus Black just seems TOO obvious. I just feel it is gonna be someone who we never expected.

aberforth is albus brother... so that means they both share the same last name and it is dumbledore... dont think anything 'B' will come up...

for one....ppl usually sign notes wid last names...nd his last name is dumbledore...so it cant be B...nd well..he just doesnt seem the type of character who wud do all the horcrux thingies..
it took dumbledore so many years 2 find it out...
how cud aberforth know abt the horcruxes let alone destroyng one..

one more thing...dumbledore didnt seem 2 sure aberforth knew how 2 read n write ..so how did he write the note?????

and u remember serius mentioned his one uncle who left money for him .. weell. i can't remeber his name but it definitely started with 'A'

but i want to make a point.. if you guys think RAB has GOT GOT GOT to be someone's INITIALS... then well... maybe not...
because... "RAB" is probably just the way Voldy identifies this person... it may be a sort of NICK used between the both o them... so, if the note was addressed to Voldy and signed "R.A.B", i'm inclined to think that the mysterious initials would hold some meaning for Voldemort...
for all you know, JK could be leading us off on a new wild goose chase with this probable red herrring...
RAB might turn out to just be a string of latin words...

hey what if maybe as you mentioned in the article on R.A.B. earlier taken from wiki saying that the HP-Lexicon had earlier changed regelus intials to RAB, then reverted back to just regelus black. what if just suppose they may have really unearthed the identity of RAB n then were forced by say Bloomsbury's Lawyers barrage to revert back or face legal action..... I know this sounds crazy enough to be a story,. but this could be true too.........what say Nishani definately possible, isn't it? maybe between the various rumors and false insider informations maybe HP-Lexicon stepped upon a gold-mine of an information.

N d magazine said dat maybe regulus's mission ws 2 safeguard a horcrux bt he nvr knew wht it ws(ie he neva knew it ws a horcrux) n he destroyed it by mistake. n ltr he found out wht he hd done n datz y he tried 2 back out as a death-eater n ws killed.
