My go-to place for HP fanfic is Mugglenet.

For one thing, they're properly categorized - Romance, General, Humour, etc. Then pairings (in romance), General - Marauder, founder era, etc.

Plus, proper grammar (which is very important for me).

I'm currently reading this one - http://fanfiction.mugglenet.com/viewstory.php?sid=93503&warning=5 - it's DH from Ginny's POV, so basically a take on what was happening at Hogwarts when HRH were away.

There was a really good one about Sirius in Azkaban but I can't find it right now.

Also, a lot of James/Lily fics are really good!
