Do you think Lupin deserved a more heroic death?

i liked the way it was done in secrecy where all that is mentioned is harry seeing the body but it would have been nice to at least see how it was done... lupin was the sole survivor of the maraudars and as far as we can tell a very accomplished wizard so it would be nice to know just how he died...

Yes it would have been good to know how he died...Truly he was one of the closet people to Harry after Sirius and Dumbledore...

but i also wished that he hadnt died because he just had his son and Tonks died as well and that is such a tragedy...

but no point thinking about it...

but truly it would have been very nice...

Yeah, I agree, but I guess JKR wanted to preserve the grimness of the situation, by having us realize that many important characters died without us knowing...like in a real war. It would have made the book to long if she described the death of every main character, this subtlety fit the end. Also, it would have been too painful to read about Lupin's death, esp after Fred's.😭

i didnt even want Lupin to die..also Tonks dies too

also i didnt want Mad-Eye & Fred to die either
cos all of these ppl are close to Harry & have been there for a long time, even Dumbledore
i guess i didnt want ANY of the characters on the good side dying but the books wouldnt have had the same effects otherwise
in battles u win some & u lose some

JKR later informed that Lupin was murdered by Dolohov... Tonks by Bellatrix...

I wanted someone frm Marauders to survive ( & definitely not Peter! )...

I think the way Lupin & Tonks' death is shown in the book... makes it more heartbreaking... that we suddenly see 2 of Harry's closest ones are dead...

This line is really heartbreaking... 😭😭😭

I wish he hadn't died only. 😭 And I wish Tonks hadn't died either 😭
And yes, they both deserved a proper mention you know. Remus was there throughout the book 3. And he was like an uncle figure to Harry.

In the end, I think Lupin died the way that he would have wanted to - in battle, protecting the ones he loved.. so I think that if he had to die, that was a pretty good way for him to go..

Lupin's death was a big tragedy along with other members of the order.
It would have been nice to know how exactly Lupin, Mad-eye, tonks, Fred died. They must have defeated many death eaters b4 they were hit by a killing curse.
But I think Jo deliberately left it like this for the readers to wonder and imagine. It was the biggest wizarding war which cost lot of lives. Just like Lupin said, he died while making a better world for his son. I guess Jo summed up all his heroism in that sentence.
