How did you fall in love with Harry Potter?

Almost the same for me.

I saw Philosopher's Stone in the theatres, because it looked interesting. I just loved it and then I proceeded to get the book and loved it even more. Have been hooked since. 😃😃

same here..!!..i actually had the books till the 4th part gifted to me,but i never read them,till i incidentally saw the 1st movie,then i was hooked onto HP forever..!!

I was in 8 th when i heard about HP and i thought it was very boring [ it sounds funny .... i know 😆😆 ] but when i read it i was like " Wow ....how could i miss it " and i found about the movies and i became a fan of HP both books and films ....especially books .

I actually used to hate Harry Potter...I know, very bad 😕 but I always felt that it was unfair that it's always a boy who is the hero...I used to wonder why couldn't it be a girl?

So I never read the books...but oneday when I was 12 ish, one of my brother's brought PoA from the library and asked me to read it to him...as much as I disliked HP, I didn't want to say no to my brother so I began reading it aloud to him. I got the chapter about the Knight Bus when my brother asked me to stop and continue tomorrow.

I told him that I would carry on reading it so I could supposedly "prepare" myself for reading to him the next day. What I really meant was that I started to love it so much that I didn't want to stop reading, but I didn't want to quite accept that infront of my brothers since I had always said that I would never read the HP books...I know, silly me 😆

And that's how it started, been hooked since, first I read PoA, then CoS, PS, OotP, GoF. It was definitely very weird reading the first five in that order, but whenever I'd want to take them out of the library, they'd be booked!! So when HBP and DH came out, I made sure I actually bought them. Harry Potter is pretty much the sole reason why I wear glasses...lol...

i was around 9 or 10....i actually saw the movie-harry potter and the philosopher's stone....i was simply amazed by the special effects and the whole world of HP magic....and then i heard that it was actually based on a book....and being the bookworm that i am...i asked dad to get it for me....that's how i started reading and falling in love with the whole world of harry potter....and as more and more books were released,the plot began to get more and more deeper and got me hooked......

Hey! I'm new in the HP Forum...was roaming around and I came across this!

Well, I first watched the movies...I watched the first movie and was like, okay, this is good...I didn't find it very interesting, really. Actually, I hated it...😕 Sad, I know...and very ironic, considering my current mindset towards HP 😆

Anyway, after the 1st two movies, I read the books...in totally messed up order, though. I read GoF, CoS, OOTP, PS, and finally PoA...😆 Strange random order, but I managed to stick to it all the same...😳

There began my journey with HP and later on I discovered the world of FanFiction and got even more hooked! Man...this has been a crazy ride for me!

I'm still hooked, but not to the movies anymore that much...

hi guys im kind of new to the hp forum(a silent lurker 😆)
ok please dont hate me for saying this but i fell in with hp because of draco malfoy god i love that guy when i first watched the movie i absolutely loved it but draco caught my special attention i didnt feel like reading the books back then but my friend convinced me to read it and im so glad she did because i absolutely love it its awesome and can i just say that i LOVE the MALFOY'S all throughout the series they are portrayed as cold prejudiced and racist people but when i read DH at the end when the war is going on that they didnt care that the war was going on lucius and narcissa ran through the crowd screaming for their son i just loved that moment it showed them being human for once and not just some petty death eaters but people with feelings
im waiting for DH to be released now i cant wait to watch it

it all happened during my winter break, and continued thru my exam week- (i read the 6th book then)! lol!!! 🤣

and there is no looking back since then! 🤣
