My story was rather different. I started liking Harry Potter when I was 12! I was in my 7th form and wondered why people loved Harry Potter so very much. My friend Angellina was a sticky fan and she would always suggest me to read the books and watch the movies but I would not budge an inch. Son summer started and our final semester ended. People were eagerly waiting for the Goblet Of Fire movie, except for me.And then my friends thought of an idea. They deliberately gifted me the 1st and 2nd books for my birthday so that I might get used to reading it. And believe me I got very very pis toff with that. And since it was summer and nothing to do, I started reading the first book. I got so engrossed in it that I went to bed at four in the morning after reading at least twenty five pages. I finished the two books before July and borrowed the 3rd book and completed it before August and then I bought the 4th and the 5th books and also watched the three movies before seeing Goblet of Fire in the theatres! And after that, I begged to my parents for the last two books and got it after thousand pleas.....and today, Harry Potter is my all time favourite saga ever! I cannot live without it. Thanks to my friends and my parents and of course you guys, I am in love with the world of magic.

Well I think the first movie was about to come or had come...

I was 12 ... One of my friends was reading HP1 ....

I loved reading books so I tried it!
I loved it at very first.. I read 2nd,3rd immediately....
It was a big craze then.. everyone was reading it.. I bought the 4th book ....
Then 5th.. I found I could read the books again and again and not get bored... 😆
Infact I got clues.. linked various plots ... found characters mentioned in the 1st book come in 5th... and all....

Then read all the others....

Movies I really liked the first three!!!

yeah! the books are definatley btr! but the movies are also very good!

when i was in 4th class i saw Philosophers stone then For the first time and i fell in love with the Hp Movies then i saw all 4 movies

and then On 8 august 2008 i bought 1st book then i fell in love with HP books and Now i have read all Seven books and also The Tales of beedle the bard , fantastic beasts and where to find them

I was in 5th grade...just moved to the US of A and didnt know anything about HP(The craze hadnt started in India yet) and then I actually begged my mom to get the Sorcerers Stone DVD because i just wanted it..I dont know why...till this day I dont know why I wanted that DVD so badly that I almost stopped talking to my mom!...anyways I'm so glad I did that.

I saw the movie LOVED it to the core and then watched the movie about 16 times every weekend (I know all the dialouges by heart) and then my 5th grade teacher decided we were going to read the book and I was happy...so she read the book and I was hooked...when I came to the 6th grade CoS was the 1st book I ever bought and I couldnt put it down for a week...I just kept on reading it over and over...and then I got the rest of the books as they came and I fell in love with the series...

@miley_hp & roshmirj,my story is somewhat ike urs.bit frm both.i was also in 7th grade n i was in a class where people were talking about hp,nancy drew,archie comics.hp was the most talked thing in the class.it was like if u knew about hp u knew about everything attitude frm some off them.some were thinking that they if they knw about hp then they r rulling the world or something.once i got iritated seeing their expression when discussing about hp n some were asking some doubt or something n they were keeping their head high.it was funny to see that.

anyways back to my story.i was in 7th n like i said before people were going on talking about hp.i was a silent type even if i was not there in the class no one wud notice.so they didnt bother discussing with me becos i used to stand ith my best frnd n she was the mouth organ n everyone was satisfied with her talking becos they usd to consider us as siamese twins.so if one talk then then te other neednt talk.my frnd strated reading hp first.se borrowed frm one of my classmates who had a lot of boooks collection including hp.she was like me a silent type.she used to talk very little.my frnd told me to read the book but at first i was not sure becos i didnt hav patience with long stories.
