Interviews with Robert, Clemence, and Newell
Videos of my red carpet interviews with Director Mike Newell, Robert Pattinson (Cedric), and Clemence Poesy (Fleur) are now available.
On his final stunt in the film (if you've read the book, you'll know what it is), Robert said, "It was like a big stunt organization thing. I had a harness around one part of my crotch, with six big guys pulling it, and doing a sort of somersault thing. It's very complicated, but a lot of people hurt themselves in preparation for it!"
Also, Newell provided some additional insight into the post-production work involved in the making of the Second Task:
Without a doubt, the underwater [was the most difficult task to film], because, to start with, everything was shot underwater, and what that means is that Harry could only act for ten seconds at a time before a frogman had to come in and give him air. So that whole sequence is put together in tiny, tiny, little chunks. Then, of course, what you had to do is the whole sequence has to be made three times. You make it in the water against a blue background, then you make all of the underwater - the weed and the ruins and all of this, and then you make it all over and you have the sound. It took a year and a half - it's very complicated.
