Parul is being targetted by Maasi and Shika, and they yell at her as the one who created conflict among the three of them. Parul is in tears and does not reply. Jalpa overhears the argument, and runs and informs the others, and then Manjula in lead, barge in, and then she tells Maasi, to calm down, and she takes over.

She takes Parul away saying she wants to find out what she did. But they hatch new plans. They want to involve the men folk, and says to Maasi, that after Parul's husband comes home he will see to it, that she tells the truth.

In the confrontation later, Parul blames Maasi, for all she had done to her, she had planned to take revenge.

The matter does not end there. Some scenes in the dark, take place as Maasi goes on the prowl to see what the others are doing, and the others too are hatching plans, and try to avoid the eyes of the Maasi.

Thus the Channel and the producers have managed to get one more episode off their chest. Perhaps they are not bothered by the TRP but by the number of episodes they can produce, perhaps there will be a Prize for the serial which has the maximum number of episodes, even if the audience goes to sleep during teir show some how, the noisy bahus will not allow the audience to sleep !

No gains and no losses today.

More hide and seek between Maasi and the Bahus. In dim light of the night, Manjula hatches her plan, and Maasi is on the prowl to see what is going on. Wonder what Manjula does with her mobile, and just then Mohan comes out and takes Maasi away, so that the bahus can complete their work.

Alpa has the job cut out for her, to take Shika to the parlor, while Manjula takes Parul, wrapped in a shawl, out of the house. Maasi the prowler stops Manjula and a shrewd lady that she is, bullies the old lady, with a white lie, (which incidentally, are the staple on most of the serials - perhaps making the lives of script writers easier) - gets Parul out of the way.

In the Parlor we are supposed to be entertained with the antics of Jalpa, and Parul appears in attire which resembles that of a transvestite.

At home Ashta is being decked up, and when Alpa goes out to bring some make up, Raj stops near the door, and thinks the girl is Shika, and we see the face of Ashta, all confused. What is the outcome, we have to wait for one more day.

The photography and work of the artistes is good. But for some reason the writer does not want to conclude the story, and the delay is irritating.

Summary

Ashta has been in Shikha's room, and Alpa has been getting her ready to act like the bride. She goes in to bring some make up and Raj enters, and thinks she is Shika and talks to her, but seeing no response he is suspicious. But before he can touch her saree, Alpha enters and sends him away.

In the meantime in the salon, Parul dressed like a gaudy stylist, with a broken tooth, is styling Shikha's hair, with some foul smelling stuff, and it bothers the bride to be,. Both Jalpa and Parul mess her up. Maasi tries to call her, but Jalpa takes the phone and puts it off.

In the house, Pandit comes, and Raj and Maasi goe down and start the pooja, and then the aunts bring the bride down. During the ceremony, Raj sees the mehendi on the bride's hand and becoms suspicisous. Some where as the ceremony proceeds, he has a glance at the face, and his fear of Ashta;s booth, comes over him. In the meantime, Maasi has gone into Shikha's room in search of the mangalsootra, and she gets Shikha's call, saying she is still in the Salon. She wondes who then was the bride sitting with Raj.

If I have missed something, please add a foot note to this summary. Thanks.

Raj's Wedding.

Shikha runs away from the parlor, and Jalpa, "u dnt know, i tell u" grabs and and they come from the back entrance of the house, while Manjula, is giving a rub down to Maasi, in the room, with the other bahus watching. In the tug of war, and war of words, the bahus tie, Maasi and Shika both hands and feet, with ropes, and gag their mouths, and the elder bahus leave for the mandap, asking the highty-flighty Jalpa, to close the door and come down. She manages to gag them but forgets to close the door.

Down in the hall, the pandit continues with the ceremony, and Raj is asking for Maasi, while Manjula is gaining for time. Alpa tells Mohan and his brother, that the cat is out of the bag. Raj finally sees Asta's face, when applying sindur, and is aghast with fear, and shouts in fear, and there is commotion as Maasi and Shika come down, and Raj ties to explain, but Maasi tells him to tell nothing.

It looks, that the serial has been given a little more time. Let us see what happens next week. Have a happy week-end.

Finally, Manjula has succeeded in her plan. The three, Maasi, Raj and Shikha have implicated themselves, and the police, lawyer and officers present as guests for the wedding, arrest these three and take them to the jail.

The subsequent episodes, without the three focus on Ashtha and how to rehabilitate her. The Grandmother, with Dev comes to visit, and this improves the situation.

The Bahus want to prepare a meal for Ashtha but she says she has learnt to cook at her Grand Mother's place, and takes over the kitchen. In the process she burns her hand, and all the doting Bahus fall one upon other , to help the poor girl.

Manjula is worried the after effects of Raj's betrayal.

It looked that today it was more of beating around the bush, and the women seemed to have descended to Ashtha's level and she seemed to have risen in her I.Q.

The men folk, supposed to be one of the best 'businessmen' in the city, were also tongue tied, and the young man Dev, returned from America, seemed to have some hold over reality.

Since tomorrow is Friday, I think the plot will be dragged for the next week. Good luck to them, who are trying to get the maximum number of episodes for a Serial. I must say, the first episode of this Serial, got the highest TRPs when it was shown. A lot of hope was put on this Serial by its devoted viewers. Hope they will not disappoint them now.

This episode is about the career of Ashta. Manjula is against introducing her to a career as she still needs to develop. The rest of the ladies want her to go ahead and try.

Men folk want to give her all support.

Ashta calls Dev and informs her that the uncles have agreed to allow her to do some work.

Discussion of what type of work goes on among the women. One suggests Beautician and another Selling sarees,. Manjula is not prepared to do anything.

Just then a boy comes in to meet Ashta but the aunts want him to take Ashta to play with him, but he says, he wants her to meet someone.

It is Ashta's grand mother with Dev. Dev teases her that she has not made up her mind. His intention is to goad her into doing something. As they talk, the boy comes in and tells Ashta that their old friend wants to meet her.

The boy who saved Ashta from the grave, and took her to her Nani's house comes, and there is a moment of rapture, and recognition. The music says, krishna in the background.

Ashta calls him Gopal. He has a peacock feather and he drops it, and disappears. Ashta sees a bag left by Gopal, and picks it up, saying Gopal has forgotten his bag.

Hope some one will wake up and make this story better. I think I will watch it on line, then I can fast forward scenes I do not find interesting.

After the arrest of Maasi, Raj and Shikha, the house was in a depression. The aunts wanted to figure out a way to make Ashta self sufficient. With the help of Nani and Dev, they hit upon an idea of giving her a occupation of her liking. They argue what line would be good for her.

Since she is a devotee of Laddo Gopal, they think in this line, and from divine help, the idea floats in their minds.

The men in the family think it is a good idea, and the only obstacle is the main elderly aunt, Manjula. Her character is suddenly given a twist, when she becomes aggressively protective of Ashta and does not permit her sisters in law to help her. This looks a little rude, but as the story unfolds, Manjula too agrees and all ends well.
