we all like to take path of least resistance and less work when it comes to life.
but once u become parents and grandparents you need to understand that is not always good and will cause many issues in the family.
see both Sahil and Ishu's dadi.
Ishu's dadi likes Mahi because of what? One, she is orphan. but also because she listens to Dadi, does not back answer, stays in the house, takes care of Store, and also does house work like cooking, cleaning. and we all know Ishu is opposite. She wants modelling, good clothes and she gives excuses to Dadi for doing chores or going to temple etc.
So here Ishu dadi instead of keep on teaching and focusing on Ishu has ACTUALLY GIVEN UP ON HER and keep on taking path of Least Resistance that is focus on Mahi. Thats is easy to do. But see what is happening in the end??? because of elders not realizing that ignoring and giving up is not an option now ishu does not like mahi for being so good and dadi only loving her. she also needs attention and explanation and love could have changed her too.
same goes for Sahil's dadi. When she met Ishu - i know one incident went wrong. Then she started thinking which girl will be FIT FOR HER BAHU and HER HOUSE and HER KHANDAN. but again she is taking a least resistance path and instead of changing ishu, loving ishu and caring and explaining her that what she is doing is wrong... she just gave up on Ishu.
I bet if Sahil would have presented Mahi to his granny she would said yes...
so bottom line both Dadi gave up on Ishu and taking a path which will be less work for them. But in the process they are breaking all kids confidence, heart and self esteem.
This is my understanding. if you'll think differently then feel free to say. my parents have raised me differently and never had to see this day in my life. Where Ishu goes to sleep everyday thinking she is lesser than her siblings and needs to fight for her rights.
