I feel Nani has a depth which she shows whenever she feels she has to protect her loved one,e.g in case of Ayesha when she had her doubts she took no chance. Same is about Nikhil., she loves Nikhil and knows how unfair barkha is to him.

So I think yes she has more depth, is better human being than barkha ,even if she is shallow in her thinking she knows certain things and even her own bahu meera...she has accepted her knowing how good she is for her and her son...

Hopefully we will get a meaningful nani Nikhil scene...I love anita kanwer as actor and would love to see a new dimension in her character..

Yes i agree with u. She has much better understanding of her children's feelings than barkha. She should teach something to her daughter too who doesnt even care about her own children at all but the society and her reputation.

Nani may seem shallow, but she has more of a mother's instinct than Barkha. I don't know, but it's like all of Barkha's motherly instinct died with Akash.

Of course Nani is better than Barkha, She may be snobbish, haughty at times but deep within she has maternal instincts as well as wisdom. She has an insight of what Nikhil is going through, but she is worried as to how she can bridge his feelings with that of her daughter Barkha. In her commitment to see Barkha happy she has done some unforgivable things to Laajo, though it was not her intent. Isn't she a mother after all!! She still feels that Laajo is a very nice girl with lot of self-respect. So that tells everything about her. A person may have done bad deeds but if she /he has respect for good things , can we call him/her bad? We can hate only the bad deeds done by Nani and not her. On the other hand Barkha thinks her way is highway!!!😡 there is no room for other person's feelings and expectations in her book. So definitely we all hate her!!😡

Yes completely agree, Nani though she may seem as a very hollow person has great insight about other people emotions and thoughts, she herself understands the difficult situation Nikhil seems to be in and I wish she would explain her daughter more about her problems

Hey guys,

Nani should know by now that Barkha has a screw loose in fact has more than her fair share of missing screws, and on top of that she is serious maintenance. Inder is not equipped to handle

her, and Barkha has taken advantage of this. I do think that the older son's death is just part of her problem, I am sure that a psychiatrist would have his/her work cut out to fix her up.

So in a round about way, I have to say Nanni is better than Birkha

I agree totally, Nani is thinking of his pain. Barkha on the other hands thinks about nothing but me, myself and I. She needs a few months on psychologist couch...
