Why isn't Nikhil saying anything?

I don't understand why Nikhil is staying mum about the whole situation. Why isn't he explaining the circumstances to his family. His silence is only aggravating the matter. And once again Ishana isn't mentioned, nobody is asking why he married Laajo when he loves Ishana so much😕

As we all know that he does not love Lajoo and I think she will eventually leave the house.. Which I think will be best for her.. or may be she will reunite them as Lajoo is consider the third wheel

I think they (Nikhil's family) need to deal with one thing at a time. As for them the top priority was to try and get rid of Laajo and if that were to happen then I'm assuming according to them the Ishana angle wouldn't be as big a deal BUT having said that AND things having not gone their way I am sure that Ishana will be brought up soon enough.

As for him explaining, I think he was about to say something at one point but everytime his mom starts her yelling match he seems to stop. I'm sure it will all come out soon enough (especially to Ishaana - if of course she wants to stay and listen to him😉).

I think he is of a different mold (more like his grandfather) and having lived with them may no it is futile to try and reason with them. Plus they have seen how they ridicule his mami I'm sure so he knows what they would be capable of in regards to their treatment of Lajo.

But that doesn't mean that he lets them blame and badmouth him without any fault of his own. At least he should describe the circumstances which caused him to marry her. It just doesn't seem right.

No, it's not right. However if you does explain what happens you know they'll find a way to blame Lajo anyway (ie, she shouldn't have left home or shouldn't have broken her first rishta). As time passes we all know that he'll stick up for her. Unfortunate for him, he really doesn't have a relationship with his mom so explaining things to her would probably be like an ant trying to climb Mt. Everest.

But that's my point, why is he just thinking about Laajo? Why isn't he thinking about himself as well?

Sorry, I probably misread your post. Not sure why but I don't think where his mom and mom's family are concerned he can say much. As for his dad and chacha, I bet they in some way will respect him for his decision when they find out. I think he is still in shock which is probably why he isn't saying anything either but even if that weren't the case he probably just wants to stay true to his word/decision, otherwise what would have been the point in marrying Lajo in the 1st place? It would have been to save her, so to in turn send her back wouldn't help her at all but would only makes matters worse for him...

Sorry if I've misunderstood your point of view again😳
