Hi Vista,
Brillant as usual.👏
I haven't seen the epi yet, so can't really comment on it. But I agree about Arpi's effort being wasted, but he regressed the moment she died. Infact the writing was on the wall about that!
I guess, the essence of the matter was that he is at core an emotional person, who's emotions rule him. He lives by the gun and may die by the gun, that is the only thing that speaks to him and shows him the way. He will regret killing RV, only because he broke his word to Arpi but in some ways, if she is alive I think she would understand though not approve. And yes, I too was disappointed that others made him see how innocent Arpi was, when he should have seen it without any proof. I have been harping about it for a long while, that he could love her so much and yet distrust her immediately. So he loved without understanding what love meant or the trust that goes with it, this time around he will learn.
One thing though, I actually don't find it shocking he killed RV, it was always the way it would have ended. The Cvs are trying to show that Avdesh is human, flawed and all, that he has good and bad sides which makes the total package of Avdesh Sing Thakur. Only in books do you have characters who totally redeem and mend their ways. Not so in real life. People, good and bad, all have shades of greys.
