And he left; leaving Gulaal completely shattered and biwildered..Dushyanth's words kept linkering on her mind as it was the facts of her life, to which she is reluctant at the moment...she so wanted to accept it..but she was helpless..Gulaal completely lost her balance and collapsed over to the floor..though unknown that her words had stabbed someone's heart who was misfortuned to overhear it, he stood there unable to fathom anymore, with his senses numbed...The ever delightful moments in his life which passed a few hours ago just flashed before him...the moment when his dream was realised...while his soul touched its ecastics...but a mere mirage..he being harshly betrayed by his destiny...he, Kesar.
As his burdened footsteps followed to his room, he was feeling as if each passing minute could hardly be survived...

The whole family members were excited at the news of his return
...
Panba's eyes were filled as she did his arti, she handovered the dhali to Rewa who was standing nearby...
(Panba ruffled his hair and kissed his forehead and weeped)
Panba(through her tears): Mera bacha...(in a complaining tone)..kaam main ithna vyasth hogaya kya ki ithni saalon se apni maa se baath karna bhi bhul gayi...
Kesar(sighed) Baa..(and hugged her)
(After a while the three entered inside)
Panba:Tere aane ki khabar se Motaba kithne khush hein..ab bahut din baad unki chehre pe hansi laut aaya hein...aur Vasanth tho kal se zameen pe tik nahin raha hein(laughingly) kal se muje aur Rewa ko saans bhi nahin lene diaya hein..Kesar ke liye woh banao, yeh banao..aur phir woh khud hi tera kamra teek kar raha tha..kehraha tha ki tuje shikkayat ka ek bhi mauka nahin dunga..
(Kesar has always felt so elated by Vasanth's overwheming care and love for him..but this time it pricked him somewhere, his face was still a bit gloomy..he was not the usual Kesar,..his demeaneour has changed markably...the lively and cheerful Kesar was suppressed somewhere with in him..three years is not that short as it sounds...)
Kesar(in a concerned but a bit hesitant tone):Motaba aur Vasanthba??
Rewa:(enthusiastically)Mein ne unhe phone pe bathaya hein..bas ab aathe honge..
Paanba( placed her hand on his shoulder and asked in a bit serious tone):Kesar..(he looked at Panba)..Tu ne sab ke barein main poochliya..siwa uske..(his eyes were slightly widened)..nahin milna hein kya usse..(Kesar tried to hide his sudden slight nervousness, while Panba called Rewa) Rewa..(and jestered her)
(Kesar coldly followed Rewa though lost in his own thoughts)
Rewa(went on talking in a worried tone): Tere jaane ke baad woh bilkul badal gayi thi..kisise teek se baath tak nahin karthi thi..mujse bhi nahin..yahan tak ki apne kamre se bhi bahut kam bahar nikalthe dhe..hum sab ko bahut chintha horahi thi uski..teek se sotha bhi nahin..kabhi kabhi kamre pe der raath thak rothe rehthe hein..uski halath dekhke mein bhi ro padthi thi (he slightly raised his head and looked at Rewa, still not able to grasp what she was saying)..kal raath achanak usse bukar chad gayi..ab teek se kuch khaatha peetha nahin aur tabiyath ki khayal nahin rekhegi tho bimaar padegi na...
(At the end they reached outside her room)
Rewa:Woh yahin hein Kesar..
(Rewa left and Kesar stood there for a while staring at the closed door..and finally decided to enter , he opened the door with shivering hand and stepped in to find her, laying on the bed, sleeping..she looked worn out due to fever...but for him, her face reflected the charming radiance..even when tiny droplets of sweat surfaced her forehead..he couldnt resist her innocence and had to follow his heart when he unknowingly traced his arm over her cheek..the sudden sensation of his touch, made open her closed eyes..and she dreamily smiled at him through her heavied eye lids..
Gulaal (in a low audible voice):Kesar..
(She continued in a sleepy voice): Muje bahut neend aa rahi hein..m..mein so jau..?
(Kesar slightly nodded..and tried hard to smile at her, even when his heart was being crashed on seeing her condition..she slightly closed her eyes while Kesar sat beside her, he didnt want to break his stare at her..he so wanted to hold her close to his chest, take away all her pain and to yell for a thousand times that he will be always with her..and love her with his every heart beat...and will never let her go from his embrace...but he couldnt...he was helpless...the Gulaal who is before him..was whom destiny made forbidden for him forever ...and the mere thought was killing him deep inside.
