It was brilliant how u depicted, SF coming and fretting over GK friendship as Gulaal is a widow- as she is the elder person who has been through such a phase, so she is da one who wud mark it out. Anyway - to the chapter now! Oh about time someone was going to confront Gulaal (not that I like the idea of her feeling so cornered) but the confronting is important for both Kesar and Gulaal to understand where this thing between them is headed, in their own way. Kesar's fierce defense for Gulaal - even against her - is the alarming sign of a ripe emotion that will be making presence in all alacrity so soon! Gulaal trying to slip back into a safe boundary - hoping she can stop what's begun from happening, will realize how futile trying to turn down a forest fire is!

Overall - great pace and and ground work for more showdowns, between these two, and of these two with others. I have a sinking feeling that PB will be up in arms against Gulaal not long from now - saving her son from 'older widow'

Of course the Vasant angle coming to fore now, makes it only more interesting.
