Batch 2: The bit where I was in complete awe of NB's sheer emoting ability...the emotions in Kesar's eyes...you can literally feel the breath rushing out of him as he takes in the impact of what Gulaal just said

And my absolute fav. moment of this scene cuz it's SO Kesar...lol..."Nahin jaane dunga...tu kahegi bhi, toh bhi nahin jaane dunga..."...loll

Batch 3...

This last bit of transition was so beautifully enacted by Manasi...first that big joyful smile on Gulaal's face where you can tangibly feel how happy she is...and then that transition in the end, where the emotions overwhelm her again and she closes her eyes as if thankful, grateful, savoring this precious moment after SO much pain and heartbreak.

This bit really amused me...look at her all shy new bride and giving that Minnie smile as Jzee calls it😆

Batch 4:

The way Gulaal is all shy why and then smiling as he hugs her...adorable scene...with almost a mischievous underdone to it...lol...like there is a mystery to that smile of Gulaal's...

She looked SO gorgeous in the final scene

And ofcourse loverboy was only staring at her unblinkingly throughout😆

More proof of his unblinking focus😆

And Gulaal is again all shy why...aww it's so sweet to see her like this

This guy is a goner...lol

Now the thread seems complete <3

Glad you pointed how beautifully MP enacted that struggle to finally let it all out. After all the paap accusations, slaps and what not...it came down to 'Tere bina jeene ki aadat nahin rahi ab Kesar'. It was PERFECT! Once again they lived up to not being typically romantic, it was just Gulaal and Kesar being themselves.

^Sulky Gulaal is THE BEST! She still doesn't like to be accused of being in the wrong no matter what the situation 🤣

Mindblowing expressions from NB!!

I think Kesar sensed that Gulaal didn't want him to go but he did not expect the 'I can't live without you' continuation.

Thanks, Reemz! :-)

I agree...Kesar knew that she didn't want him to go but the way and the reason she gave him at long last was not something he saw coming...the breath literally left his body when she said that and dropped her head on his shoulder...NB deserves an award for his expressions in that bit in particular...I was totally blown away.

And yes, sulky Galool is MEGA adorable...LOL...the genius of that scene is the way both of them speak with their eyes...you don't need mushy dialogues when you have such brilliant actors portraying every fine nuance SO well.

I've got the scene up since last week and it seriously is amazing what brilliant acting can do to a simple scene.

After a few viewings, I couldn't help but remember how Kesar left for the city 10 years ago too without asking Gulaal. Her lines were perfect for then and now.

We should make our own award ceremony and give the awards to these two :P Real waale kuch nahin karege!

^^ On the other hand - real wale hum hain Reemz! 😳

Thank you for the caps Nur - i logged off while you were still uploading for a group meet - but managed to update the title bar in time anyway. Btw, does anyone find Rohan's expression next to lover boy Kesar in the garba sequence when all his eyes are for Gulaal - I thought it was randomly cute that Kesar and Rohan were dress coordinated - like a sarwala in Punjabi weddings! 😆

Reemz - I remember saying that, about Gulaal being sulky best even when she's accepting with utter candor and humility her part of the confession! She can't help but be the 'right one' when Kesar goes tu mujhe bhej rahi hai... and again, tu seedha jawab kahan deti hai - her sulky expression is the classic look from the surya grahan champa sequence!

And again - I remember saying the other bit somewhere too - about Kesar knowing what she's getting too - like they literally have an entire confession with eyes, alone, preceding to Gulaal actually wording it, but his shock lies plainly in Gulaal's acceptance - he's already come to the point where he knows Gulaal's feelings for him are reciprocated and equal - but his futility has been in her stubborn stand up to the feelings point, and he's resignation to go away is not being able to bear knowing he loves, and she loves him back as much - but they can't get together because she will never accept! So I reckon even when she speaks out the 'mat jaa na Kesar' his surprise is almost bordering on is she really... no she can't! He probably still expects her to pull off some joker on him and say don't go because of n other reasons - than the one she gives him - tere bina jeene ki adat nahin rahi...! It hits him all the more, cause he knows it, but he has genuinely convinced himself to believe she will never acknowledge as much, whatever her hold back... I remember all of us trying to speculate what the confession would be like, how Kesar not being the brightest bulb (as Nur lovingly tagged him 😆 ) would never figure she loves him back until she spelled it out - yet how much better was this scenario, where he knew well and realized entirely that she had 'fallen back in love' as the expression goes, and so his defeat just hit an all time new low, because there was nothing more he could do to change the situation. The ultimate had to be making her fall in love and that had happened and nothing had changed! And therein was his greatest resignation. Knowing Gulaal - he just lost the hope for her to ever change her 'mind' even though her heart had changed loyalty!

It could have ended Gulaal and Kesar relating their life story to their kid(s). It could have been one huge flash back episode and not ended just with the confession but showed evidence of how much love there is between Kesar and Gulaal.

I liked the episode, but what I wanted was different. Like it did not quench my thirst.

But then I have no complaints regarding NB and MP's acting.

classic Kesar indeed - he's this short of saying - jaane dunga?! AB!!! happy wishing Galool! 😆

I loved how Mansi's head was lowered when he pulled her out, and it rose when he said 'nahin jaane dunga' - there was this subtlest hint of surprise flickering in her eyes, not for what he had said - but it was a part of that same sense of amazement she feels - however mild - at how truly limitless Kesar's love has been. Her grand realization obviously puts her into a good position to realize what Kesar has undergone - better than than she could ever empathize before - and he has not an iota of grudge... no change that word, I want to say not an iota of shikwa - at her having taken so painfully long! Not that she could expect her Kesar to hold anything up on her... but I suppose its impossible to not be overwhelmed by a love like Kesar's - even for his Gulaal! At least momentarily!
