Part 4 ..

Those lovely eyes

Well gulaal reached dehradun and a driver was already standing there…With her name placard..she knew he was about to come…as PB had called her a day before…

She lazily closed all the windows of the car..and slept through the small ride on her way to Patel villa..Located on the Mussoorie Road…

"Madam..ghar aa gaya",gulaal was startled as the driver..said in a low voice…

Are Gulaal tu aa gayi…zara dekhne de to mujhe…kitne saal bit gaye…aur tu kitni badi ho gayi hai…aur ye chashma..lagta hai bahut jyada padhai ..ki hai tune.."PB excitedly said…as gulaal seeked her blessings..

PB:"Are tum..Vasant aur kesar ko nahi lekar aye"

Driver: "baa wo vasant baba ne kaha ki wo pehle office jakar duty join karenge..unki jeep unhe lene ayi thi…kesar baba bhi unke saath hi ayenge"

Well they went inside..and gulaal excitedly hugged rewa..who in the meantime..had come to the living area to meet gulaal..

Rewa: "Oh gulaal..acha hua tum is weekend humare saath ho..Vasant bha bhi honge..vaise main tumhe gulaal bhabhi kahun kya"

Gulaal was shy..and just lowered her eyes…

PB:are gulaal tum aa gayi..naha k..beta come for break fast..kesar bhi aa gaya hai…vasant lunch tak ayega…"

Kesar..this name…brought so many fond memories in gulaal's mind…naughty,ziddi,cute little kesuda…whose chubby cheeks she loved to pull…she was ecstatic..and asked PB about his room..as she wanted to give him a book which she had brought for him…

"Dohas of kabir"

Kesar's room..

Kesar was sitting on his chair with his back towards the door..Gulaal slowly walked inside..and pulled his cheeks from behind…"are tere gaal to pichak ..gaye…"

"Ouch..",kesar screamed..and turned back..

G: "tu…I mean…Oh my God you roadside gunda…mera matlab..tu …kesar…"she exclaimed with mixed emotions..surprise,disgust,anger…

She couldn't figure outwhat exactly she felt..

K: "Ye acha tarika hai pyaar jatane ka..tum gulaal ho na…pehle thappad maro..phir use bhi zor se mere gaal nocho…chalo koi baat nahi…Thappad ka compensation to hua",he winked naughtily..

Gulaal..was shocked..taken back..suddenly a realization struck her..That means those lovely eyes were Vsant's..She was elated..and happy..

K: "OO miss gulaal in wonderland..mujhe dekh k itna khush ho gayi..aur ye gift mere liye hai kya",Kesar snatched the gift..and carelessly tore open the wrapping...to see the gift..and saw the book …

Gulaal came back to reality..and didn't know how to react.

K:chii Gulaal…tum mere liye ye kya le ayi…I hate books ..wo bhi..ye saintly gyaan wali…ye mere kisi kaam ki nahi.."he said with an irritating grin on his face as he threw the book carelessly on his table..

Gulaal felt offended and her anger grew manifold…

G: "Oh yes..I am amazed at your ignorance..Books are food for the soul..and saint kabir's dohas..were actually not only couplets but added a new whole new dimension to spirituality..and …social behaviour..par main bhi ye kise kah rahi hun",she walked away angrily

K: "haan yaar mujhe tab samajh mein ayega..jab tum hindi ya English mein baat karoge…Ye Hebrew mujhe samajh nahi ati.."

Gulaal came back to the guest room..still fuming with anger…

She heard the voice of Rewa calling.. "Baa Vasant bha aa gaye"

Gulaal's heart skipped a beat…she could feel something strange..At last..she would get to see those lovely eyes again.
