Kunal's mother tells Sudha that they want neither dowry nor their daughter. She tells Mota Bha that they didn't want this marriage to happen, but Raman came and convinced them offering dowry. Mota Bha and Sudha are shocked, he asks her whether Raman promised dowry, but he knows that Mota Bha is against dowry. Sudha tells her that they demanded money. Kunal's mother agrees that they demanded but Raman decided the dowry amount and gave them 10 lakhs on the engagement day, of which he took 5 lakhs back under pretext of business partnership, that day onwards he has not shown them his face. Sudha asks if she is saying this to break the marriage, Kunal's mother tells her that they don't need to find an excuse, there are enough reasons to break it, she should go ask her husband Raman. Sudha is furious. Kunal's mother tells them to take care of their own relationships before making new ones (this I completely agree with, they cannot maintain existing relationships and want to make new ones), and tells Sudha to keep Talli away from Kunal, no matter what this marriage will not happen. Mota Bha asks what is Talli's fault in this, she tells them that she never liked Talli, Talli has no shame in meeting Kunal before marriage. Sudha is furious and tells her that she will not let Talli meet Kunal, and doesn't want her Talli to get married into such a family. She leaves with Mota Bha.
Ghigha yells for Raman to answer about the money. Raman's head is down in shame (for once). He yells at Raman and says because of him Talli's marriage broke today, Jamna asks him to fault Talli for that, not Raman. Ghigha tells her to be quiet, because of her both her sons have gone out of hand. Ghigha tells him he doesn't want to listen to a lie, it was Raman's plan to give money for dowry and open up a partnership, not Dushyant's. Raman replies yes, Ghigha is shocked. Ghigha asks where the rest of the money went else he will do an inquiry, Raman tells him that he lost all the money in gambling and Dushyant paid off his debt. Everyone is shocked. Ghigha slaps Raman, Jamna cries, Ghigha demands to know why she is crying, she spent her entire life blaming others but never looked at her own sons' behavior, its time for her to bear the consequences of her actions, her womb itself must be dark, she gave birth to such sons that have no humanity or shame, one son is in prison for killing his brother, the other has not improved despite coming from prison.
Ghigha then yells that who is he saying this to, he himself committed a sin. He goes to the pillar and starts banging his forehead in desperation saying its better to die, he will suffocate living with such sons, its better to die than live in such punishment. Mota Bha, Jamna, and Sudha stop him from hitting his head. He weeps and pleads with Mota Bha to forgive him, his upbringing was wrong and has brought a lot of pain to the house, he could not be a good father. Saying so Ghigha faints, Raman feels bad.
The doctor tells Mota Bha that Ghigha had low blood pressure and needs to rest. Raman comes there, Sudha ignores him, he feels bad.
Gulaal is pacing around waiting for Kesar's return. Kesar comes on a bicycle and Gulaal runs to him asking where he got the bicycle from. He brings vegetables and tells her he found a job, nobody was willing to go against Mota Bha so Kunal helped him find a job in the city, he will have to commute everyday so they gave him a bicycle till he works for them getting orders for sarees. Gulaal feels bad at the trouble he has to take for her. He tells her to come inside and goes carrying the bags.
Gulaal prepares food and tries to blow out the smoke from the stove, he asks to do it but she refuses, he says there is nothing he cannot do and makes an attempt, he starts coughing, she tells him she thought he would do this just like he cleaned the house and brings him water, his cough doesn't stop so she starts rubbing his back, he becomes aware of her closeness and looks at her smitten, she looks at him back and becomes conscious and stops rubbing his back. "Piyu maari" song plays for both of them now. Forgot to mention, the show titles have Kesar and Gulaal with piyu maari song. He says looks like he will have to sleep with water, there will be no food today. She says there will definitely be food today, he should go away and sit quietly for her to be able to do something, under the pretext of helping her he is increasing her work. He says now he has to obey her orders, and goes and sits a little further away. He looks at her blowing smoke and finally she lights the fire.
Talli is sitting sadly, Kunal comes with sweets since Kesar got the job. He goes to feed her when Sudha throws it away telling him not to meet Talli since his parents have broken the marriage, he meets Talli and his parents blame her. Kunal is shocked and tells her that marriage is just a ritual, Talli has found a place in his heart since day 1, he cannot even think about someone else, he will explain to his parents. Sudha says no need, she has decided not to send Talli to his parents' house, thank God the wedding broke, what would Talli's condition be in that house anyway. He tells Talli that he will leave now but he will fulfill his promise to her and come back.
Gulaal serves Kesar food and he asks if she will not eat, she says later, happily looking at her with love and half-hopefully he says she is treating him like a husband, both have an eyelock and Gulaal looks down in embarrassment. He says she doesn't need to do this because he has studied in the city and is not old fashioned. Gulaal says there was just one plate, and Kesar feels a little disappointed. Kesar's looks at her are full of love but they are also mixed with a deep sense of loss, as if he will miss her deeply when she is gone, and he wants to live every moment with her. Its such a sad thing to see that expression in his face, the mild tears in his eyes yet the smile full of love. My heart goes out to him, finding pleasure in small things, looking for excuses to see when Gulaal treats him like a husband and finding happiness in the petals she leaves along the way. He then hesitatingly asks in an unsure manner if they should eat from the same plate today, Gulaal is quiet but I think she looks a little shy. I notice her looking a little shy nowadays, more shy than going into her shell. Both have chemistry oozing out of their pores on the screen, there is sooo much chemistry. Damn the CVs, can they not show us more instead of leaving us so breathless. Why oh why is this show ending? What is wrong with India - how can crappy shows do better than this beautiful one? Ugh.
Precap: Gulaal tells Kesar that time has come for him to know everything, he is surprised and says he doesn't want to know anything till she thinks... she interrupts saying today. Once she told him that he has no right to know anything, today she wants to give him that right, she wants to tell him everything that she didn't tell anyone else.
