I am going to write an e-mail to SBS to investigate and let us know. Could you guys also do the same please? I suppose if we bombard them with the same question...they might try and find out for us...? If the show is ending, I don't think the actors will be allowed to divulge that information so no use trying to contact them via FB...lets just write to SBS...

Anjali - what is the ID we mail them at? I'll mail them from multiple accounts - like hack into all my friends and housemates' accounts... They wont care if non-Indians mail them right?! 😆

They can show numerous repeats of one show (like 3-4) for their top shows but they can't keep Gulaal going on! PATHETIC!

Do you know Gulaal officially has only one re-run time slot in India?! I always thought that was unfair and ridiculous... If you air a repeat like a handful of times a day, there is automatic scope to gather more audience. Accordingly, you decrease the scope for a main time slot soap to get audience when you re-run only once. there is so much chance that Gulaal will not be the watched show at 9 - with stuff like Pavitra Rishta and Dil Dosti Dance on at the same time... But if they have more re-run slots, people will inevitably give it a chance!

Sony has always been an expert in the way they lack marketing their shows well - but SP really shows unfair prejudice against Gulaal... because they market shows like hell, when they care to!

I think in its entire run, Gulaal had about 10-12 promos altogether :s THAT is just pathetic. It's like SP never intended to promote the show to begin with :\

SP has always been a bit prejudiced against some shows. Not just Gulaal.. It's always seemed to have picked its "favorites" and then stuck with them entirely, showing utter disregard to any other show in the process. Sony is crappy at its marketing for EVERY show - SP reserves its bias for a set number of shows only..

I am trying to find the e-mail as we speak...nothing listed on the Star News site so I might have to watch an episode because they show contact details at the end...be back with details

Chillax guys, all i can say is enjoy the show, and the wonderful quality of till however long we got 😊

But i agree with Reemz, you wont ever get a serial quite like Gulaal again, the whole struture of it and storytelling, no serials today match up to it and its depth

^^ That's true Fivr. What do you think their bias document reads like? Oh this show makes sense. Let's underplay it... ??!?!?

Reemz - TBH I was actually always happy about the lack of promos because somewhere it keeps the story in wraps and actually lets you watch things in time. I hate shows which start airing promos a week in advance and then by the time the 'grand promo events' happen, you've already lost half your hair pulling at them... So I liked that for Gulaal. I also always justified the lack of ME's with the fact that shows like Gulaal don't need an ME to move tracks - they do it every damn day!

But in general - re run slots are a must! How do expect to run a show at 9 - which is such a competitive slot, then re run only once at a mid day hour and no other time and find chance audience to discover the brilliance?! Clearly, your idea is to not promote!

My only regret is that I got hooked to this show so late...feels like I've hardly watched it for a couple of months and it's going off-air now...I must be some kind of jinx...lol

I will also measure any future show against this for sure...the sheer quality of WRITING itself will leave me in awe for a while for sure...hardly any show on TV bothers with sustaining a story long term with so many layers to it...well thought out layers all culminating towards a larger purpose.
