Chapter 19

********************************************************************************************as she reached the hospital she saw a beautiful child was standing with a white lily in her hand……as the child saw gulaal…..she came near her she gave her the flower and kissed her gently and ran away…gulaal was amused just a second before she was feeling black and low……..her spirit was sanked to low ebb and within a sec this lovely child has lifted her mood with her sweet kiss and a beautiful flower…she looked at flower….white lilies were her favourite flowers they symbolizes purity innocence peace and holliness…..she gently smelled the flower……the smell of flower partially recovered her spirit…..she then saw a piece tagged with the flower gulaal took it out it was the jigsaw picture puzzle and something was written at the back ….she was surprised….she walked in the corridor as she walked she saw another child was waiting for her with the white lily tagged with a picture puzzle in her hand….she too came near her gave her the flower and before gulaal could ask anything she kissed her and ran away……..gulaal was surprised…she was pleasantly surprised……..and then she saw another girl with water lily with the picture puzzle..and as walked she recieved ten white lilies with the picture puzzle and 10 sweet kisses of lovely angels…her mood was light her spirit cheered up and she immediately felt warmth and coziness….she walked in her cabin she put the flowers in vase…she took out of all the jigsaw picture puzzle and begin to assemble it with excitement….as she assembled puzzle….she saw it was her photograph…her picture in which she was smiling ecstatically she looked at her picture with great fondness …..She turned its back and it was written

"That is the most beautiful smile I have ever seen"

a smile began in her mind and ran down her face…..she was gazing her pics and the words written in it she then rose her head and looked above kesar was standing outside her cabin he was smiling……..she looked at her in utter bewilderment…..the person who send her those flowers and that lovely message in form of a jigsaw puzzle was kesar…..he did it to cheer her up…as she looked at him….she smiled with her whole face she smiled wth her soft cheeks and lovely smile tinted her cheeks pink…….he looked at her …them he explained to her in sign language……. "That is the most beautiful smile I have ever seen", not that u saw in the picture that one which is on ur face right now…..keep smiling"….he explained her and with a sweet smile bid adieu…..

gulaal was speechless she was happy……and all the day she did what kesar has told her…smile……she smile wen she saw the patient taken care by their friends and relatives outside her cabin…she smiled as she walked inside the children's ward seeing the children refusing to take medicine and nurses struggling to make them take their medicine…she smiled looking at her junior staff having a gala time at canteen….in the afternoon she travelled back home… she looked out of the window of the taxi as it passed the bandra worli sea link …the scenic was splendid…the sky was clear…wind blew gently and the sunrays hit the still water of the ocean and twinkled like the thousand christimas light on the surface….gulaal was watching the sea…the sea in which the river merges ….her form her consiousness her individuality is lost in the sea…..there is no particular existence of her…sometimes wonder y the river wants to loose herself her identity in sea..But then is sea different from the river? From whence the river comes…. it surely comes from the sea…and as it merges with sea it doesnt merge with stranger but with itself its true existence is sea...it flows to sea to attain the oneness and immortality…gulaal was looking at the sea thoughtlfully

She came back home and opened the window….rewa sunny and kesar were standing in the garden area….a baby bird had fallen out of its nest….the baby bird was afraid and chirping loudly

Sunny called" kesar chachu birdie neeche gir gaya hai "

Kesar came there….he gently took the baby bird in his hand and climbed the tree and he put back the baby bird into her nest….

Gulaal saw and came in the garden area…..

She asked "kya ho raha hai"

Rewa said "aksar chidiya k bache gir jaate hain kesar unhe waapas rakh deta hain…bechara bacha kitna darra hua tha"

Sunny said "haan chachi ro raha tha ab dekhiye kitna khush hai

Gulaal smiled and said "haan shayyad kesar dusaro ko khushi dene ki k aadat hai"

Kesr climbed down he looked at gulaal he was walking away

Gulaal said in the most beautiful voice "thanks"

Kesar turned back and asked "thanks kisliye"

Gulaal replied shyly "wo flowers k liye"

Kesar smiled and said "to uske liye thanks kahogi"

He then looked into her eyes and said "thanks plz sorry se rishte banaye jaate hain……par wo majboot tab hote hain jab hume inhe kahne k jarurat hi naa pade"

He turned and then said "aur ek aur baat….always keep smiling……kanhi pada hai smile karne k liye mehnat kam karni padti hein….right doctor"

Gulaal retorted "gulaal"

Kesar replied "doctor"

And he went away

Late afternoon sudha got ready for her party…she asked gulaal to take care of sunny as she may come late in night

Sunny kesar rewa and gulaal were sitting leisurely in the garden area…..sunny was drawing….gulaal and rewa were talking to each other and kesar was quietly watching gulaal.

Sunny came to kesr and said "chachu kuch drawing banao naa"

Kesar replied thek hai batao kya banau

Sunny said fish

Kesr drew fish

Then sunny said ab ghar banao

Kesar drew and asked ab kya banau

Sunny looked around and said "ab ap gulaal chachi ka sketch banao"

Gulaal was talking to rewa she looked at them with amusement

Kesar looked at gulaal and naughtily said "haan kyu nahi abhi banna deta hun"

And he began to sketch her…..he looked at her and drew the sketch….gulaal was curiuos to see protrait…aftersometime.she quietly got up and went behind kesar and snatched his sketch

Kesar was surprised…he said "arey yeh kya mujhe mera sketch waapas do"

Gulaal laughed and said "kyu du mera sketch hai dekhu to kaisa bana hai"

And then she looked at her sketch and rolled her eyes in amusement and angrily said "yeh mera sketch hai aisi dekhte hun main"

Kesar and sunny started laughing

Rewa was confused she asked "gulaal bhabhi kya hua aap kyu gussa kar rahi hun"

Gulaal complained "dekho na rewa mera sketch kah kar billi ka sketch banaya hai"

Kesar was smiling he playfully said "arey maine to tumhara hi sketch banaya hai…ab mein kya karu agar tum billi jaisi dekhti ho"

Rewa and sunny bursted into laughter…gulaal was irritated she said "kesar mein billi jaise dkehti hun ruko abhi batati hun tumhe "

Kesar ran in the terrace area and she ran after him….they reached in the terrace area…..kesar reached the boundary wall of the terrace he was breathless and gulaal also came running behind her she also touched the wall she was breathless too

Kesar said "ok time up"

Gulaal looked at him and laughed with her broken breath…they both were trying to catch their breadth kesar was leaning on the wall he looked at her hair…they were opened and slid on her face and over her shoulder…..gulaal always fastened her hair with rubber band but today her beautiful hairs were free and careless they slid over her face and gust of wind as her hair opened flowed right through Kesar...wind blew sunrays fell on gulaal and she was smiling… trying to hold her breath and manage her hair and kesar couldn't takes his eyes for her he was smitten by her…he looket her with his increased breath…but then he quickly colleced himself and started walking….

Before leaving he said to gulaal "waise khule baalon mein tum billi nahi lagti"

Gulaal looked back and asked carelessly "kya"

Kesar blushed and said in low voice without seeing her "achi lagti ho"

and then he walked away

Gulaal puzzled for a sec and then she laughed at the way he complimented her…

It was night…she was in her room….she looked at the white lilies that kesar had gifted her and then she looked at sketch that kesar had made……she was looking at them..

Sunny came in her room

Gulaal said "aao sunny"

Sunny said "gulaal chachi mummy aayi nahi mujhe neend aa rahi hai…akele kaise suo"

Gulaal said "koi baat nahi mein sula deti hun"

Gulaal took him to his room and laid him in bed she laid beside sunny and was gently making him sleep

Sunny said chachi song sunana hoga tabhi sunuaga mein

Gulaal said thek hai

And then she remenbered….her mother use to sing a beautiful song "do naina ek kahani" a old hindi song to make her sleep at nights….

She remembered the sond and started singing in the most beautiful voice

Do naina, ek kahaani
thodaa saa baadal
thodaa saa paani
aur ek kahaani

she sang the song kesar and rewa heard her and couldn't resist themselves they walked into sunny's room rewa came inside and sit beside gulaal and kesar stood ouside the door gulaal looked her she stopped rewa asked her to continue as it was lovely song…it was relaxing and…soothing rewa and kesar had heard this song from panba in their childhood they were nostalgic…this song gave them immense pleasure…..gulaal continued her song she looked kesar and with her eyes she asked him to come in…kesar came and sit beside sunny kesar and gulaal put their hands on sunny but hands brushed each other and they withdrew…gulaal continued her song…probably finding herself or her relationship with kesar

After some time sunny rewa and kesar fell asleep…gulaal looked around she put blanket on rewa and sunny….she was walking away she turned and saw kesar….she came near him…he was sleeping ….she put blanket on him…and stared at him….. His charm, his kindness reflected in his face….how innocent he looked while he slept…..she looked at him in silence… she remembered the last stnaza of the song

Amazed at her own feeling she drew her hands near his cheek….her hand was too close to him but then she quikly withdrew her hands and in haste walked out of the room….unknowingly that kesar had felt the warmth of her hand on his face…he gently touched his cheek and felt her……

Yes it is the story of two eyes, little bit familiar little bit new little bit tears little bit emotions…it is the story of kesar and gulaal……….
