For Gulaal's CVs
Gulaal as a show has so much of potential that if sensibly driven should attract a lot more audience and fan followings. The cast is outstanding (better than so many SOAPs being aired nowadays). Strong and clear characterization of each character and sensible dialogs. They have the right actors for the roles. And every member of the cast is working really hard and it shows. You feel more about this once you see other SOAPs (even on Star Plus).
All the good ingredients are there, but without a good recipe you can't make a good dish. So far the story has been gripping but the protagonist is mostly in misery. Why would one want to watch daily as to how miserable and lonely a person is when all the happiness is lurking around her waiting for her to start living her life. Nowdays Gulaal does not need an enemy saas, she is her own enemy.
Having said that, I guess its time for the show to revisit its track.
1. Gulaal and Kesar's relationship needs a new definition. Panchayaat has clearly ordered that Gulaal is to stay Kesar's wife for the rest of her life. How does Gulaal adjust/cope with Kesar could not only be lightly romantic where Gulaal will (have to) give in with time but also a touch of humor to it. The success of this will depend on how the romance is induced.
2. Unlike most of the shows where the troubles are standing in line taking turns to appear for the protagonist, (mostly in saas bahu shows) Relatives (mostly saas) will keep on inducing doubts and misunderstandings in their relationships, but this show can have other challenges which Gulaal fights but with the help of Kesar. Raman track is already there, it can go a long way. When Gulaal was in distress due to Dushyant-Gulaal sambandh badnami, everyone in the family thought that Kesar should standby her in such times and so on..
Everyone else on this forum who loves this show have so many ideas, and we all want this show to be successful and stay on air.
The CVs are great and already have shown their ability to create lots of interest but again there is a tendency of complacency creeping in and then they go overboard.
I hope this does not happen in case of Gulaal.
