Lennie and Praniti-Can we really do the blaming game in this show? Like Lennie always says we should see this show in every character's pov. For me there is no clear cut right and wrong.
Kesar is right in his pov, and because we the audience see his inner turmoil so much that we feel for him too, and that Neil man makes it even more difficult for us to get hold of our self. As a child he was brought into it, and he learned to live with it but never understood the real meaning to it. His thinking is so clouded with Vasanth's murder, G-D relationship and the deyrvattu, that he never been able to pin point his feelings. He never saw the deyarvattu as an issue, and why not no one really explained anything to him.
I agree to everything here, we the audience see this - Kesar's pain and how he lives and inner turmoil - portrayed so wonderfully by Neil, but what exactly has Gulaal seen of Kesar so far - to exactly understand what goes on with him, does Kesar today like her or dislikes her as a person, sees her as a problemAs i said its so rarely Gulaal has seen a nice/calm side to Kesar - if we can count on one hand, it would be about few times, he has spoken calmly and so on to her and ok around her, otherwise its been how he was when he came back, not talking to her and now pure angry and hurt and hurting her, despite her not showing much emotions that he keeps herself closed or takes it in and goes on livingFor Gulaal her world only revolves around Vasanth, his dream, his wishes, where she is not able to think beyond that, because her intentions are good. And Kesar to her is not so easy to understand after his return, is he? To her he is a man filled with anger, irritation, hatred and so much of negativeness. Forget love, she doesn't even know if he likes her.
As you said she has lived on Vasant's promises, dreams and to fulfilled them - thats all she knows, and in a way wants but we all know there is that loneliness in her - and times like when she broke down few weeks back - it was then she realises how alone she is, knowing that D has taken something so great away from her. No wonder she also lived with the promise of Talli marriage - so she could fulfill it... even today she admits she was wrong in taking that decisionFor Thalli she was fed with it from childhood and doesn't think so much beyond what she sees. It is a big thing in a village for a wedding to break up. That is why Suda is concerned about Thalli's image and honour. Although she had lot of clues before the marriage thing.JK-she doesn't know about V murder, as a mother and a character with a grey shade, she voices her opinion in a bitter way.
Poonamba-as a mother it is like a last chance to save her daughter's life. She doesn't wish ill of Thalli, it is just her daughter's life she is worried about.
Can anyone tell me why MB didn't break the deyarvattu when he found out about it? I forgot.
When MB found about the deeyarvatu, it was at the krishna leela show - i am pretty sure Gulaal not him not to break up, if i am honest the only part of the convo i remember coz it stood out to me was when MB says to her when Krishna/Radha grow up - what will happen to RukhmaniWe see Kesar on one side and the rest of the family on the other because no one knows Kesar except us the audience, not even him. And the family knows in and out of Gulaal's intention that is why everyone is asking questions to Kesar. In my personal experience with this show, whenever I ween or whine about something, I get the detailed explanation in the following episodes. The CV's are so clever and detailed in this show that I often feel embarrassed of my posts. That is the uniqueness of this show. The show gives us clue as to the next track but never the way we all predict. We need a lot of brain digging in this show too.
Exactly, with this show - you do get a detailed explanation later on, and how scenes connect later on and so on and yes alot of brain digging, this show just makes you think and thinkSorry for the long post. Just my random thought.MB-K-convo- was fabulous, what a father should do and how.
Yep the father and son convo was good, its exactly how MB should of been, to the point - what is it that he wants, coz its now time to decide coz not only will his decision affect him but everyone else and it should be done with careful consideration, its up to him... and MB is trying to get what exactly Kesar is wanting, ok he sees this deeyarvatu as real - ok we get that, but in the long run what does Kesar want from it, where does it see it heading, and why does he want to keep it tied around himI bet thats the same questions and thinking most in the family will have esp GulaalLennie-I am really tired of praising ur post and running out of words so now on it is just a mutual understading, that I adore ur post wether I tell u or not. deal? Thanks so much, it means alot - and yes deal 😊
