and the way he asks Panba why does she think that he is sad??? I think this where this relationship lacks...and that is what Panba says...that she is his mother...she is bound to know...but the thing is she doesnot...she has so left him alone...and that is why Gulaal is so supremely embossed on his mind...She has never left him alone...she has always been there...if not physically...then emotionally, mentally...she is like the blood in his veins...there has not been a moment she is not with him...and even Panba knows that and that is why she starts saying that she knows he obeys Gulaal...and the name makes him shut her up...you could actually see Panba rile back...
I said this somewhere else on the forum for yesterday's episode - that to me PaanBa's reproach for Gul was only half justified. Thing is, what Gul is to Kesar, no one else can be. And although, Gulaal herself is likely to prick her eyes with million tiny needles or stab herself or something before she consciously steals away the position or right of someone else, when she was spending all those years pairing up Talli and Kesar - she wasn't trying to replace PaanBa in Kesar's life, or hiding the idea for a reason - intentionally, she was only making yet another decision for yet another person who was dependent on her... because she has come so long and far into being this single pillar taking pressures of the big and extended household, its become ingrained in her. Her mind functions like that, coming up withe every decision that it perceives as the mass good of everyone in the house... and pairing Kesar with Talli just another one of those things. When PaanBa asked her why she as the mother should not have been party - she was right, objectively speaking, because no one should over ride a mother. But Gulaal as a mentor, as a bhabhi, as a wife, as a confidante - in each and every role has over ridden with or without intention every other person in Kesar's life, and unexceptionally, its gives her a right over him, that is unparalleled - even if in terms of official relations, she should come behind quite a few. The only person who could have come as far as being an equal t Gulal is Vasant, and now, she's a spitting image of Vasant to Kesar, apart from being Gulaal, and the combination means more than anything or anyone ever could. And somewhere I think, PaanBa knows and understands the dynamics of it all. A part of her may realize that had she known of Gulaal's plans all these years, she would found a way to curb them - but the other part of her is plain delighted with her son's happiness - as she sees it - and she gets that venting on Gul.
@ bold...beautifully put Zeee😳
youare right...every decision is like a mass good like a queen taking a decision...It doesnot target an individual.
And Panba really ceased to exist since Vasant's death atleast for Kesar..the circumstances that followed..he didnot have anyone with him except Gulaal...and that is the the reason for his attachment to Gulaal...his lifelessness without her...I seriously dont know how he survived 10 years without her...those letters were like anchors for him...
Panba is really not very clear on what exactly is she upset upon...May be she should have been upset with Kesar for going through Gulaal's plan, but then it is very difficult to get upset with kesar due to his anger😆
