Dushyant is in his room and Gulaal comes there. She asks him why he did not come downstairs for breakfast, and she knows why he is worried. She too is very worried about Kesar, so she has come there for Dushyant's help. Gulaal says that she wants Dushyant to be Kesar's guide. He says that a person like him cannot guide someone else, Gulaal says that a person who has changed can definitely show someone else the way. Dushyant says that when someone stops caring about other's feelings it is easy for that person to lose the way. He himself made a big mistake and till today he is bearing the brunt, and he is concerned that Kesar should not go the wrong way. Gulaal says that Kesar is like Vasant and has Vasant's conscience, he cannot control that conscience for long. Gulaal leaves, and Dushyant thinks that hopefully Gulaal's faith will not break.
Kesar, Talli, Gulaal, Dayi Baa, and Paan Baa are praying. The priest asks Gulaal to hold the pot of milk in Kesar's hand. Talli extends her hand as well but the priest says that she is not Kesar's wife, Gulaal is, so only Gulaal should touch the pot. Kesar says that Gulaal is his wife, and Talli has to stand back and Gulaal is to Kesar's right. Talli feels bad and tears are in her eyes. Talli gives away clothing to charity still in tears. The priest asks Kesar and Gulaal to go around the tree and Talli feels very hurt. Kesar sees a guy talking to someone - the guy is the same one who told Durgesh and Kamlesh in front of Gulaal and Dushyant that he saw Dushyant throw Vasant in the river - the guy was the driver of the jeep as well on the day of the accident. Kesar runs after the guy who starts running. He catches hold of the driver and asks him to come along and tell everyone about Vasant's death. Someone hits Kesar's head from behind and he faints. The women come running after him and see him fainting.
Kesar is lying in his bed at home with a bandage on his head. The doctor says that Kesar should be fine in a few days. Everyone thinks that who has the guts to do this in the village. Dushyant says that whoever it is, he will not escape Dushyant's hands. Talli is crying and Gulaal takes her to bring food for Kesar. Talli continues crying and Gulaal asks her what the problem is. Talli tells her that when the priest asked her to move away from Kesar since she is not his wife, she felt bad. Gulaal tells her that obviously the priest will say that since Gulaal had to marry Kesar in front of everyone, but everyone in the house knows what the truth is, and she promises Talli that she will get Kesar married to Talli and Talli should trust her. Talli stops crying.
Everyone is in the living room and Dushyant wonders who hit Kesar. Jamna Kaki says that what is the reason for Kesar to go beat people to avenge himself on Mota Bha. Dushyant supports Kesar and says that he needs to get to the bottom of this since Durgesh must be behind it. Gulaal stops him and says that they should use their brains since Durgesh must be waiting for them to take a wrong step, and they don't have proof that Durgesh is the culprit. Paan Baa is in Kesar's room petting his head. Kesar tries to tell her something. Gulaal asks Paan Baa to go rest, and she will take care of Kesar. Gulaal takes Kesar's hand in hers and is crying, and her tears fall on Kesar's hand. Kesar is disturbed and keeps thinking about the guy he was running after and the conversation about his seeing Dushyant throw Vasant in the river. Kesar opens his eyes, Gulaal is happy to see him awake but Kesar flashbacks to Vasant's death and takes his hand away.
