😆yes! I did drop hints regarding her death when GK had nightmare of herself as a child.

Kaushalya being involved or having hands in it again shocking not GK's hatred and loathing had to have more then the revelation of Kaushalya's real thoughts and behaviour towards Guddan. She deserves whatever she is getting and more 😡 disgusting woman🤢.

Initially i wasn't planning on making kaushalya an accomplice but then it became so much fun to write her torture scenes that i had to make a valid excuse to justify gk's hatred.

AJ you really hurted Guddan a lot. You really don't deserve it easy this time last time you had it easy and didn't valued it so now work for it and prove you deserve Guddan.

Haan, when Guddan loved him he rejected her and today those rejections are resurfacing in GK's mind as bad memories. He has to pay for the heartbreak she endured🥱

One thing I really love about GK you can't take her for granted because if you do she would walk out on you without giving you a second glance. GK is the justice and punishment provider for all those who had ever wronged Guddan in anyway possible and is also the protector of whatever part of Guddan is still left inside her from further hurt.

Excellently understood. Gk keeps everyone on same pedestal. No one is treated speccially.

AJ is still in the process of knowing GK but not all of it things are still being hidden from him hope he comes to know about everything without getting in any kind of trouble or danger. Update soon and sorry couldn't comment before got busy though I read it before itself.

Part 9 Five days to go

"So tell me!! Who was he you were talking to that day? Who was that f**king bas***d with whom you planned my mother's assassination?!

Kaushalya struggled to breathe but was failing miserably as water entered her respiratory system and she started choking.

"So... GK repeated pulling her face out of the water.

"I-I don't know! Spare me, please! Kaushalya pleaded.

"Trying to feign innocence won't get you anywhere! GK sighed exasperated as she stepped away from Kaushalya and started drying her hands on the towel, "After all I still remember everything!

Kaushalya froze as a speeding knife passed right by her eye and embedded itself in the wall behind her.

"It could have been your eye, Kaushalya!!GK snickered as she pulled a chair in front of Kaushalya and plopped into it. Leaning towards Kaushalya, she raised her right hand as Kaushalya flinched and closed her eyes scared. However her eyes fluttered open to GK's humorous laughter as GK pulled the knife out of the wall and leaned back into her chair.

Flashback:

"Why will I leave?

GK stopped by the door as the most annoying voice in the world leaked through the door. Irritated as she decided to let the nuisance be, her name was mentioned and she creaked open the door to hear what exactly was happening.

"I remember that I promised to stay away from Khuranas but...

"GK invited us over! Why should I let go of this chance? Kaushalya smirked as she slid her fingers leisurely over the silk bed sheet.

"Gold digger bitch! GK murmured seeing that creepy smile on Kaushalya's face.

"So what!? The money you give me is nowhere near the amount of luxuries she has! Kaushalya shouted over the phone.

Who is this woman talking to?' GK thought as she focussed hard.

"Even you know that I am not being compensated appropriately. I helped you to trace and kill that Sujata Khurana and what did I get? That Bhushan Khurana wouldn't look my way and I had a crybaby to look after!

GK froze. Every cell in her body clenched uncomfortably as a choking feeling dawned.

...kill that Sujata Khurana..'

That night...that unfortunate night, 5 years back when she lost her mother...was a planned assassination? Her mother was killed in cold blood? She was killed...

"Why did you leave that Garima alive? She is a nuisance now, an arrogant one at that!

GK stumbled out of the room and relived the nightmare where there was more red than black. Where there were more snickers than tears. Her mother, who meant the world to her, was killed.

Why? Why? Why?????

"It's impressive that you haven't broken down yet. You continue to endure this pain when liberation is but a step away. Tell me the name of your accomplice and I'll let you go..I promise! GK motioned Kaushalya to speak

Kaushalya opened her lips to speak as her lips trembled. "He...He...

"Yes... GK leaned forward.

"He..he...I...

"Bolo...I am listening.. GK insisted.

"You are quite a blabbermouth, I've heard! Well, the day your mouth opens, your dear daughter Rewa will be silenced...

"I don't know... Kaushalya clamped her lips shut as a warning echoed in her mind.

GK looked up into her eyes and smiled amused. However the amusement was replaced by a demonic fury in an instant as the knife was pressed against her throat. "You f**king with me! You bitch! GK shouted as she kicked against Kaushalya's abdomen as the chair toppled over and Kaushalya hit the ground, hurting her head against the chair in the process.

"Since you don't know anything, I don't need to keep you alive anymore. You're an eyesore after all! GK gritted her teeth as she wrapped her fingers around Kaushalya's throat.

Her eyes rolled back as GK's anger choked the air out of her. Just as she was about to let go of the last ounce of air, the grip around her throat loosened as GK backed away.

"Tchh! Even the thought of you dying at my hands feels disgusting! GK spoke scrunching her nose as she sanitised her hands. "But there is someone, someone related to you who can quench my thirst for revenge...you snatched my mother from me, I'll do the same to you... GK smirked and flashed a lopsided grin at Kaushalya whose eyes widened in realization.

"No...no...It's not her fault! Kaushalya pleaded.

"It wasn't my fault either and yet, my mother died. World is a cruel place, Kaushalya! GK sighed thoughtfully.

"You won't do this! You are bluffing! You can't harm even a hair on her body! You are bluffing! Kaushalya shouted as GK wore her overcoat.

"Ohhh!! GK turned towards her interested, "You think so? Are you challenging me? I just love challenges!

"Don't...please don't...

"Watch me! GK winked as she stepped out of the godown and locked it.

"Don't do this! You can't do this! Kaushalya's desperate plea faded into the background as GK started the ignition.

"Karma is a bitch, Kaushalya...Worse than you!

Night time

As GK stepped inside the mansion, Dadi who was waiting on the sofa jumped up and rushed to her. Cupping her face, dadi spoke barely controlling her tears, "Where were you beta? I was so scared!

GK looked at her watch. It was just half past nine and this old lady was making a ruckus! However as much as she wanted to remove those wrinkly fingers wrapped over her cheeks, she couldn't because inside Jindal Mansion, she wasn't GK but Guddan Akshat Jindal and Guddan loved this woman dearly.

Forcing a smile, GK spoke, "Umm...I had certain matters to attend to...sorry it..got kind of late

"Chal koi na puttar, you must be starving. Let us join everyone at the dinner table.

GK nodded as Dadi lead the way.

As GK arrived at the table, everyone looked up. Durga glared at her and GK rolled her eyes in response.

"Kahan thi tum? Durga asked.

"Main vo actually...tumse matlab! GK responded in a self-appreciative manner and took her seat beside her husband'.

Durga glared at her as GK chuckled, "Durga bahu! Mujhe aise mat dekhiye, Kishore ji jealous ho jaenge! Saas se jyaada pati mein interest dikhaengi toh dadi will get promoted to pardadi!

Kishore coughed uncomfortably as Lakshmi, Saru and Dadi chuckled, while Durga just turned away feeling disgusted.

"Let's start.. Akshat suggested trying to disrupt the weird atmosphere as the bahus nodded and removed the lid off casseroles.

Akshat personally filled GK's plate as she continued to look at the multitude of veggies being poured into her plate. And then an idea struck. Testing time, dear hone wale ex-hubby!

"I am not eating this food! GK threw a tantrum as she pushed away the plate the instant Akshat placed it on the table.

"Beta, is the food not to your liking? Shall I make something else?! Dadi offered as GK shook her head in negative.

"No need, dadi! Dearest Hubby is a renowned chef, I've heard. Can he not fulfil this small wish of mine?! GK trailed as she looked at Akshat.

"Say the word, I'll make it Akshat insisted as GK started tapping her lips, thinking.

"Hmm...I want tempura prawn! GK spoke as Akshat's eyes widened.

"You want prawn at this hour! We don't have any at home! Durga announced bluntly, which GK royally ignored

"Beta, lalla will cook you prawn tomorrow. It's late at night and...

"No can do! If he can't do it, I'd rather have my dinner at a nice restaurant...let me call Jayce! GK spoke unwilling to negotiate and had just picked up her phone when Akshat caught her palm.

"No need! If you want to eat prawn, then prawn it is Akshat spoke up pushing the chair back.

"But we'll have to go to the restaurant, Our restaurant?! Akshat asked as GK slid her chair back and standing up looped her arms around Akshat's. "Definitely! It's a date, then! GK winked bashfully as Akshat looked at their looped arms and smiled.

Restaurant:

GK continued to stare unblinking as Akshat cut the prawns meticulously with swift movements.

"Do you intend to continue staring? Akshat asked.

"Hmm... GK replied looking at his face that was set in stone and his eyes were absolutely focussed. The rumours indeed are true. The man who stands in this kitchen is not Akshat Jindal but chef AJ. Impressive!

"You should make this kitchen accessible to public? GK suggested out of the blue as she stood up and started inspecting the kitchen.

"Why do you insist so? AJ asked as he poured oil in the pan and lit the stove

"The inflow of customers will increase because diner's fascination will be fuelled when they'll see how beautifully their food is prepared. If you must know, this method is quite prevalent in foreign countries...

"I am aware of that but I like peace and quiet in my kitchen

"Is it a roundabout way of saying that it will derail your concentration?! GK smirked as AJ tossed the contents in the pan.

"Not mine but new recruits will definitely get scared, AJ replied monotonously as GK shrugged, "Your wish!

Unknown to GK, turmoil was going on within Akshat's heart after witnessing first-hand account of GK's business skills. Guddan always used to talk heart but GK talked logically. It felt alien. He also wanted to talk about what had happened early in the morning but he couldn't bring himself to spoil her mood when she looked so chirpy and on speaking terms. As he marinated the vegetables, his mind wandered to an incident not too far back in the past

Flashback

"What the hell?! Akshat shouted as a panicked Guddan turned around and clenched her eyes shut out of fear.

As she opened her one eye, an angry Akshat dripping with soy sauce mixed pasta glared at her.

"Ye kya kar rahi thi tum!? He asked wiping the sauce off his face.

"Umm...vo aap toss karte hain na pan ke contents ko toh hum bhi bas wahi... Her voice disappeared as Akshat looked at the empty pan and then at himself.

"A penny for your thoughts, Mr. Husband? GK asked clicking her fingers infront of Akshat whose face was lit up with a small smile.

"I just recalled an incident, when you tried to toss the contents of pan and ended up tossing so high that the contents went off the pan and fell onto me.. Akshat replied as he sauted the prawns in the curry.

GK smiled and turning back, took an apron off the shelf and hung it around her neck.

"Let me prove it to you that it couldn't have been me! GK smiled slyly as she took the spatula and pan off his hands and tossed the contents as if she had been doing it for years.

Akshat looked on disappointed. It was the second day and yet she seemed more and more different from the Guddan he was in love with.

Smirking GK poured the prawn into the plate and glanced at his ashen face, "Guddan was an epitome of mistakes while the only thing I fancy is perfection, Mr. Jindal!

Akshat looked on troubled as GK sauntered out of the kitchen, leaving him in despair.

~*~*~*~*~*~

"Harris, have you looked for the information I asked you about? And yes, have everything prepared. I want every damn file on my table by the time I reach there. You have 5 days to prepare... GK ordered on the phone and once done, shoved it into the pocket. That unfortunately didn't exist in a suit!

"So inconvenient! GK huffed picking up her phone from the ground and turned around to see Akshat approaching with the well garnished plate in his hands.

As they ate together, Akshat relived those nights when she would wait for him to come home and then they would eat together. And then it occurred to him, Guddan or GK, didn't really matter. Her mere existence was more than enough of a reason to live for him.

So 2 days have passed out of the 7 days and not much progress has been made. Though a lot of things did happen like being thrown out of the room for a change and being bested in kitchen! That was uncalled for😆 Vese I am hoping that you remember that Harris has already been mentioned once before
