That was to a lot more extreme level than whatever AJ & bahus did till now.

Yes he stopped that later on as he developed quite intense feelings for her while still engaged to lavanya.

& after marriage, he couldn't have done any of those as he had majboori of pretending that this was a love marriage & he was very happy with it !

But AJ, as of now has no such feelings for Guddu nor he has any majboori to pretend to be happily married.

& Dadi in more than 1 incident has stopped the bahar walas from pointing fingers at Guddu

But i guess with Durga's behaviour she herself is in shock & makers are wanting masala from it.

Regarding AJ, he didn't have anything to counter Durga during the SR scene.

As what she said was " you are a perfectionist, like you told us to accept her, you should do that to..."

Which indirectly meant, "Either accept her or kick her out"

& he could do none at the moment..
