There couldn't be a better opportunity for actor Rakeshh Paaul. The Great Indian Comedy Show (TGICS) is being revamped and Rakeshh is going to be a part of the new version.

"I'm very excited. I have always wanted to do comedy and this show is one of the best in this genre," says Rakeshh. The actor was glad that he was approved the very day he auditioned for the show. "I had done a similar thing for Mac TV earlier, but unfortunately it didn't take off. So I was excited to be a part of TGICS. I will be performing gags where I will play different characters. That will be fun."

Apparently, Rakeshh is returning to the small screen after nearly a year, his last show was Main Office Tere Aangan Ki. "Earlier, I acted in so many comedies that after a point I felt I had to try something else. Then I was part of several soap operas. But somehow, none of those serials satisfied my creative urges. After all that emotional drama in the soaps, I would come home feeling depressed. So, once again I moved towards comedy."

Anuradha Sharma, executive producer, of the serial says, "This time, there will be no stand-up comedy, there are only gags. The Great Indian Laughter Champions' winner Sunil Pal and runner-up Raju Shrivastav will be seen in a new look." The revamped show is likely to go on air on August 28.
