A simple question: Has this leap been a success or not?

I've had a think about this and I think that for the serial to go to another generational leap within 6/7 months of last leaps is not a good look at all.

For me the leap and risk taken by the Production House has failed which is why they are getting a new cast and storyline in now.

What do you all think then?

Leap was stagnant not successful or failure more or less same TRP they got and show became more boring 😴 with repeating the an " iconic show " without OG essences...TRP was fluctuating in S2 after Reeva & Ishan's Prem kahani started...S 2.5 was not better became more boring

I'm senior member but I left this forum because ishan died...i told 6 month before savi and rajat story can't work.... and it's happened...now

I remember reading your posts happy to see you back ...Reeva coming back caused all the trouble ...If not it was going good..

I think the earlier leap was just stupid .Ifeel the writers were really incompetent as they had messed up the ishaan savi story and had to take a leap to salvage it but honestly they din need a leap .They needed good writers who could have steered the story in a better direction keeping the earlier cast and din need to superimposed Yhm which is a different show than ghum and the fl there and here are two different characters .By ishitafying savi they took the uniqueness of savi and her past trauma became null n void .And after the leap they blatantly copied Yhm bought characters from nowhere and tried to fit which never worked and the show could never gave stable Trps .It was always fluctuating.

Totally agree with you .. They killed Savi's uniqueness and essence try to make her Ishitha , it was a very foolish step

Savi and ishan look adorable with eachother...they ruined because of Reeva....Gum season 2 opening was good but later they ruined after Reeva comeback...

No, this leap was a a flop. The TRPs remained low, with the same TRPs as the IPL for six months straight when this post leap aired on normal months and didn’t even have IPL pressure. Trp never went higher despite ganja bringing this leap to bring in at least 2.5+ TRPs. The show also fell out of the top 5 multiple times which never happened in Ghum's history b4. They were expecting this post-leap season to last 3-4 years, but now they have to end it within months. Therefore, It’s a huge flop.

Technically, this Saraj season would’ve/should have ended in August itself when the TRPs were stuck in the 1.9-2.2 range for over 8 weeks, even during normal months with no IPL because ganja decided to end S2 in less than 8 weeks in, just because it was stuck in the same TRP range during the IPL period. But they were too overconfident and had big egos after exiting the S2 cast and mocking its audience to end post leap season in August. They didn’t want to come across as failures and were also overconfident that this will work eventually. So, they kept spending money on promotions, bringing in Shaan, and doing everything possible to make this season succeed. Yet, even after all that, the TRPs are still stuck. Now, they can't ignore their losses any longer and have finally decided to end it.

I stopped watching this show a while ago. Today, I learned they're about to have a time leap and possibly wrap up within a week with Savi's pregnancy. This leap is a flop because they lack creativity. They constantly copy-paste storylines of older iconic show. The original show aired in a different time when audience want to watch different theme. Ishita and Savi have completely different personalities, but they force Ishita's traits onto Savi. Savi's trauma started to become dull nd overshadowed.

The show excessively revolved around Rajat, his two children, his ex-wife, and his Baapta. Even the focus on Sai was too much. I recall Savi and Rajat's engagement track achieving high TRPs around 2.3-2.4 they even got top 2 position after upma . That was their last peak. They could have maintained success with original ideas, but they did nothing. So, it's a flop.

The new Gen 3 will also going to be fail. It's unrelated to Savi's story from what I heard, means her children won't be the next leads. Those who saw the Bengali version they going to copy next saying it's very boring serial written by Leena.
