Post leap people are calling Sai as Sai Joshi Chavan, not Sai Joshi or Sai Adhikari. I remember there was no SaiRat divorce before leaps or after leaps but people were treating Pakhi, the illegal wife/ other woman as the legal wife and Sai, the legal wife as the other woman even when they wanted SaiRat to be together and wiki calls Sai as Satya's wife. Sai never called herself as Chavan post leap, she just called herself mom of Joshi/Chavan kids. Instead of SaiTya track, they could have shown Sai demanding legal rights on Vinayak and Virat after checking legal facts. I wonder how they confirmed that Sai was still Virat's wife after her death. We at least deserved a scene of confirmation. Also, I would have loved to see faces of Bhavani and Pakhi when this fact would have been thrown on their faces. I would have also loved a scene of Bhavani instigating Vinu against Pakhi. Also, Chavans seem to remember Sai as their bahu nowadays, they don't even give a damn about Pakhi. Not even Vinu misses Pakhi. Even Sai's hater Bhavani has kept her photo with Virat in her bedroom. At least some scenes and explanation would have helped.

Because the makers don’t care about Satya’s character. And what purpose will that serve in this Gen? He wasn’t even given importance then in the first Gen toh ab toh he won’t even be mentioned.

So, the makers probably decided to stick with Sai Joshi Chavan for familiarity.

I mean wasn't Sai Viru's legal wife till she died? This should have been addressed properly.

Legality was never addressed but if you see Sai was married to Satya when she died.

Satya did tell her to go to Virat as they both love each other but yeh sab plane mei hua. But nothing official. Satya and Sai were married when Sai died.

But look at it in Gen 2: Nobody cares about Satya because he was a cameo. So Sai became Sai Joshi Chavan again. smiley36

Forget about surname, if Patralekha was not mentioned, Satya was a minor character

Gen 1 complications have nothing to do with Gen 2 story. Gen 2 story began with Savi living in her parents memories and Pakhi, Satya have no connection with her as they have no importance in Gen 2.

At the risk of being reported....

Here's my two cents smiley36

Satya was not required in the story... he served no purpose... his presence didn't help any of the 3 leads... he and his family were merely introduced to extend the episodes... which didn't happen either. smiley39

P is so irrelevant in Gen 2 that she is not even mentioned even though she was one the 'leads'.... Satya ka total appearance is somewhere around 1-2 month. smiley37

With surrogacy, Ghum deviated from it's original Kusum Dola...

With Sai Satya marriage... it deviated from Ghum itself smiley37... it doesn't fit anywhere with how Sai was built.

Sai took years to accept Chavan surname... her death as Adhikari hardly matters... smiley36

Bcuz they knew trp audience don't care abt all those aspects nd by mentioning sai as Joshi chavan nd not mentioning pakhi who was one of d leads nd main part of show they just whitewashed the image of Virat in the eyes of new audience too tht how toxic couple of century sairat are goals af whose so called eternal lobe lives on through their daughter savi when tht kiddo has seen her best hubby papa being intimate romancing her pakhi chachi all her life nd her doormat loser mom staying wid sattu uncle thts the other doormat mom nvr accepted him as hubby nd chavans keeping her photo when they gave 2 fcks to her existence nd pampered pakhi all the tym just to show how the family is still Dil ke ache aswini too told fake stories to savi whitewashing all her ladla beta uncountable sins as majboori zimmedari halat jazbat etc etc bt the audience are not stupid gen2 is getting it's standalone cuz of its actrs execution nly rest they all know tht pakhi was virats legal wife nd Sai is his ex wife Satya nd sai are hubby wife nd one more added factor vinu was also Virat pakhi child by all means in gen 1 nd sai was just namesake mother fr him till end too he never accepted her fully but just as replacement fr pakhi cuz she left.

Even now he barely remember her he never felt any connection with her now

I think they don't address those details because I have a feeling that a lot of gen1 viewers have stopped watching the show and gen2 leads have brought in a different set of viewers who previously didn't watch the show and care about savi, ishaan and reeva's story only and all they care about knowing of gen1 story is that savi is sai and virat's daughter. saying this as I didn't watch gen1 and don't know much about their story and these details such as sai's surname don't hold much value for people like me, maybe that's why the makers didn't think too much about that

Toxic ho ya kuch bhi. End mei Sairat ho channel ko paisa laaya. And that’s what matters. Nothing else does.

Guys what I meant was that SaiRat were never divorced post leap, making Pakrat wedding and Vinu adoption of Pakhi invalid. Sai was Virat's wife even when she wore Satya's mangalsutra and Virat was Sai's husband when he did rituals with Pakhi.
