I don't think his pain has ever been ignored by viewers... He has screen time to show it. The thing is:

1) majority of these viewers are women and will most likely identify more with FL rather than ML, especially when the ML displays characteristics of abusive partners, even if they disagree with some of FL actions and ..

2) In this instance, Sai's pain is much, much greater than Virat's and I just don't think one can argue against that. She is the one who is alone, she was the one who's husband did not support her, she is the one who is expected to live in a home with the woman she considered a homewrecker and her ex husband. She is the one who's son does not consider her his mother. She is the one who actually has to give up her son because his father won't step in to rectify the situation. She is the one that is given the moral responsibility of keeping her son happy. None of these issues and burdens are on Virat.

Virat's claims to pain is how he thought Sai died, he didn't know he had a daughter for 5 years, and he's trapped in a loveless marriage. He still has his family, he never had to leave his home, he ended up adopting his own son, he got remarried and that too to someone he considered his bff, his daughter now knows and fully accepts he's her father. He barely pays attention to his son's mental state, his family takes care of his kids. What's he in pain over? Not having Sai? That's his own doing, and he has to live with those consequences. I get he's suffocated by his relationship with P-- ok, so divorce her first? He couldn't even do that correctly.

The audience is naturally inclined to sympathize for Sai because frankly she deserves more grace than Virat. She's in more pain than Virat. And has very little support so people will rally behind her.

Yes, I agree that she shouldn't have stayed in the toxic family of CN nor she should have returned to Virat as he did not support her when she needed it the most.

But according to me she should have atleast informed Virat that she is alive and is pregnant. That is basic courtesy.

She did not do it because she was being coward to face him as she lost their son.

So by not informing Virat that she is alive she proved herself of being a big coward!!

Why Sai should have returned to CN after the bus accident? She left the house because she didn want to share the same roof with her tormentor. The same woman who was bailed out by her husband after her crimes were revealed. Why should she have returned to that place where no one supported her!! And at that point of time when her health was in the most critical phase. She already lost one child because Patralekha harassed her and her husband didn stop her. What was the guarantee that CN waasis wouldn't have abused her because of Vinu's death, putting blame on her and causing her more misery.

First of all read my post carefully.

I never said Sai should have returned to CN or Virat but I firmly believe that Sai should have informed Virat that she is alive and pregnant.

And Sai was WRONG in not doing that.
