I cant help but make a separate appreciation post for Ayesha Singh. She is such a delight to watch on screen.

In the past few weeks she has been absolutely amazing

In every episode she has shown so much range in her performance

Whether it been action, maternal love, fierceness, emotional, angst, pain, withdrawn, straightforward, compassionate, playful- she has nailed every single one of those emotions

She has delivered beautifully as an actor and most importantly she has risen above the loopholes of the script to still be likeable and amazing in her performance which is really tough to do.

During Shruti kaand, it made no sense that she took all guilt only upon herself and never held V accountable but Ayesha made you feel for her, root for her regardless as she was manaoing V.

Her playful banter vibe with V honestly isnt entirely making sense but Ayesha manages to infuse sincerity in it and shows you her dilemma by going above the script and the poor dialogue writing. You can clearly see that her banter is just a defense mechanism for deflecting from the bitter memories, or awkward moments of nostalgia and a way to distract Savi and make her feel happy and not know the real depth of conflict between her parents.

In the scene where V brings pav bhaji and sees the chaat items and does shaayri recalling old times, I had hoped Sai would say something to remind him that she not forgotten the circumstances- its not happy memories because she does recall that even then he bought her chaat to placate her after he behaved inhumanely- holding her so tight he wounded her and then denied her food, water as punishment. He was barbaric. And why? because he was upset that she didnt tell him her plans and didnt want him to baby sit her since she is an adult. She was innocent and kind enough to fall for his fake tears and repentance then like all of us in the audience did and she paid for her trust with constant harassment.

Sai didnt get the dialogues but her eyes, her mannerisms show just HOW uncomfortable and upset she was. She was almost squirming in her seat as she said- people change with time.

Then when he holds her hand, she almost snaps but then she notices Savi and quickly recites 2 lines- Savi ka dil rakhne ke liye. And she looks quite blank when he pretends to ask for maafi. Kis kis cheez ke liye maafi maangega and when will it ever be LEGIT and genuine when he asks for maafi

But Ayesha's mannerism and body language have risen beyond the script to show her discomfort.

In the scene where she gets Vinu out of the room, she shows pride, happiness and there is a faint drop of tear down her cheek when Virat says Vinu is like her. Such nuance. Its just that one drop of tear on her cheek. She is happy but she has shed a tear too. UFFFF.

Similarly today, we can see how irritated she is with P and V but she maintains decorum and does the needful especially because this complaint is for another woman who needs her help. She keeps her irritation and her sarcasm under check and allows P to get away with her crap but her eyes speak a LOT. You can see it flash in annoyance at their attitude. I love how much her eyes emote - convey much beyond the lines given to her.

She shows the maturity needed when she asks V to stop the needless reprimanding and asks him to focus on helping. How I wish she had thrown a barb at him for being LEAST qualified to be the one handling a case of gharelu hinsa...but her eyes flashed with defiance and I think her mind voice definitely must have guffawed at the man who is dealing with the case.

And you can see that she is waiting to go back as soon as complaint is filed. She gets up like a spring- eager to run away. She has already wasted enough time for lunch and the complaint and she really doesnt want to stay one extra second.

And her inner rebel and wildfire comes to the fore when she spontaneously says- 2-4 dande bewde ko maar doh! That line was SO beautifully delivered by Sai that V had to do a double take and look a tad amused at her antics.

And then the fiery response to Vs pointless warning about keeping away from the case. She knows how useless he is at solving cases and also at offering any actual protection if shes in danger. I wish the dialogues had been a taunt to that effect but her mannerism displayed it beautifully. She was like- I am not going to hold back from helping if Varsha asks for help and I can handle goons all by myself. And honestly Sai has so much experience now. Wherever she goes some goon or criminal type dude follows. first Jaggu and Vitthal, then there was Amey, Sada who kidnapped her, the guy who stopped her when she was trying to get medicines for V, then Jaggu returned, then there was the hostage holding dudes, then the guy in Kankauli, Pratap the mentally unstable patient, the guys who were trying to kidnap Savi/Vinu, then the roadside drunkards who were trying to kidnap Savi recently, and now this dude. She is definitely a danger magnet who does not back off from a fight. She takes them all head on. Sometimes recklessly. But again Ayesha kills it in these sherni style confrontations. i loved her recent action scene. and Whenever she does dialogue baazi I want to whistle out loud for her. I love seeing her slap these people or full on challenge them. She is so fierce. She looks HOT when she gives those aag expressions. Her eyes are full fire!!!

I love it!!!!

I hope she will get a role as a cop or even a negative role as a female gang leader type thing- she will slay!!! she is a swagsta! plus she could even do a good UP/bihar accent also- I remember that reel she did once- in bhojpuri accent. and she can also do mumbai tapori accent.

She never overdoes it where it looks silly or overboard. She looks believable when she does the dialoguebaazi as if she really is this fearless girl who doesnt care about anyone's threats.

Many things in life have mellowed Sai or made Sai retreat in a shell out of self imposed guilt, indebtedness to people, but at her core she remains a warrior who does not back off ever. She will be there to speak up against any wrong. Even in her own situation, ultimately she did choose to walk out of an abusive relationship- now she just needs to not get reeled back in under any circumstances. It will make all her efforts go in vain.

She is so upfront, honest and straightforward and idealistic. Its kinda amazing how she still has that naive idealism inside her after all the blows life has given her.

But the next avatar I want to watch is her scheming, calculative, cunning one. Its time she decided to give a proper tit for tat.

She has shown her sharpness and intuition in her mischievous ways to get people to do what she wants whether that be getting Vinu to come out of the room or much earlier when she got BK gang to eat her first rasoi stuff, Omi, BK , Ninad to attend her college function etc etc etc. Once Sai has decided, it will get done. Either by full on rebellion or through smart tactics. But now I want to see her be cunning, cold , calculative.

The people she faces in CN are unscrupulous and immoral. they dont deserve her niceness, straightforwardness.

She needs to stop feeling indebted to them because she has already paid back way more than they have done for her by giving her a roof, food, water, monetary help for few years- she has paid them back with much much more valuable things. but these guys are selfish that they will never acknowledge her priceless and huge contributions.

I want her to make a solid plan regarding how to make the kids see the truth of V and CN but not be heartbroken by it also.

I think her cunning, cold avatar is the only one missing. She has done pretty much everything else.

But all in all, Ayesha is such a gifted actor. Eve when the script has major loopholes, she can make everything watchable and she makes herself shine and is SO likeable. I am 100% backing her as audience. I just want Sai to come out on top. I hate seeing her defeated or suffering and I love seeing her victorious or powerful and successful. Ayesha lives , breathes Sai Joshi and infuses so much into the character that I am rooting for her no matter what- even if she is being reckless, brash, stubborn, too idealistic, too forgiving, or too kind to enemies- I am with her as audience as her cheerleader.

Its not often that a character makes you love their flaws as much as their strengths.

I am so thrilled that I have discovered an actor like Ayesha who I find so relatable and lovable and I look forward to following her career keenly now and even post ghkkpm. I pray that she will remain as grounded and real as this and with her hardwork and also some luck with finding the right kind of people who value her, who will groom her well, who will polish her- she will shine more everyday!

Ayesha Singh- May God bless you!!! You are so amazing as Sai Joshi.
